One difficult emotion I have been experiencing recently is ... Shock and second Grief.

This particular question is a very easy one for me to answer right away. "Recently" ... does today count? I heard news of the death of one of my professional friends - he was a counselor of mine for awhile (years ago) but I was still a client in his office so I'd see him now and then. The difficult emotion is GRIEF for sure. SHOCK first - which I'm sure is part of Grief, even though it's not officially in the 5 Stages by Kubler-Ross. And as this reality sets in, grief and more grief. Questions and "now, how do I...?" And this evening, a lot of "What do I do now?!" ~ Platy

The pointlessness of it all. Why do I even exist?

Ive been dealing with my self esteem. Its very low since I learned I coworker I thought I was becoming friends with actually doesnt like me at all. I just moved to a new state half way across the country and dont know anyone, so I was trying to make friends, but its not happening. One of my coworkers also never speaks positively towards me-its always negative. Ive also never had a boyfriend and Im 25 and people at work keep asking if Im married or dating someone and that makes me feel even worse. Theres even a guy in his late 40s that I think has started to hit on me and that makes me feel worse too because apparently Im only attractive to guys twice my age (btw I dont like him like that at all). My self esteem has always been low, but right now its even lower than usual. Its like every little thing is bothering me and bringing me further down

@sensitiveWater9164 Sounds like have been through some big changes. I've moved around alot and know that settling in can take a bit of time. It can be lonely. What I would suggest is that you join some MeetUps, go do stuff you like to do with other people. It's not as awkward as going to a bar or something like that. You can learn to cook or go to local outdoor place, etc. I saw one Meetup for shy girls today. It's amazing the variety of groups you can find there. Healthy hobbies are a good way to meet people. You can also go to church to meet people in addition to worshiping God.

Just keep exploring groups and if you think about it terms of sheer numbers, the more people you meet, the more likely you are to find people you can relate to as friends or more. Before you know it, you will have a tribe in your new location.

All the best in your new adventure. It will get better.

I'm feeling so lonely right now. I took my partner to the airport - she is going on vacation with a lady friend and we haven't been intimate for more than a month already, because she is never in the mood. Instead we are fighting over silly things. I'm heart broken and expect the worse, when she comes back.
