Question: Would you post in the forum more if you could edit your own posts?
Omg yes I would. I stopped myself from posting a few times because what I was trying to say was complex and really didn't want to have to go back and requalify my statements.
I think I would post more if I could edit my own posts later on!
Yes, definitely! As well as my feed page!
@Samantharenee Yes, agreed about that. I would post much more on my feed if I could edit it!
It's not so much about posting more, but better posts.
I tend to write a lot in a single post and sometimes I make grammar mistakes or miss some letters or just lose myself in the lines after I re-read it once it is posted... It would make a great difference to be able to edit my posts as I would have clearer vision about their impact.
Maybe you could make us able to edit our posts after a certain amount of time only? And let's say after 24 h inable to edit them anymore? That makes sense to me. If you have any mistakes you can quickly review it. That would also help the community keep its content.
@cristiana33, I really like that idea of editing one's post after a certain period of time. Did you suggest it formally to the Team? I't be a shame if it got lost ^^;
@cristiana33 Yes, that's a really good idea!
A Resounding YES!
This wouldn't impact how often I posy, but I'd really appreciate that ability.
*post. I don't exactly "posy"
I think it would definitely be a pro to have the editing option.
Yes!
if I want to modify or remove a post because I'm made a mistake, I am ashamed, I got bad reactions, or because I do not want my message to be seen...
I will certainly not want to show it to a moderator for getting it modified/deleted!
It is essential to have this option if we want speak about more personal or serious issues.
I can see positives and negatives to everyone being able to edit their posts.
Clearly there's popularity around the idea, and rightfully so. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes or changes their wording/mind on some thing and being able to alter what's written is a great idea.
However there's also a risk of misuse of this feature such as posting rule breaking content, sharing it and then removing it at a later date. This is an extreme example, but I'm just sharing my thoughts.
Overall, I think it would increase forum activity based on the current responses.

@Baubs
here could be an alternative:
we could have x minutes after posting for modify our own message, or "up to someone reply to our message".
after this delay it would be needed to contact a forum moderator like it is right now.
@TortueDesBois
That seems like a good bit of problem solving. That would allow time for removal and editing of "typo's" and "Errors" or re-phrasing things, without hiding negative content.
Well done.
