My husband has this friend that is always up in his business. She is always asking what he's doing and what he's watching and if he goes to work every single day. She keeps tabs on him like she's his girlfriend or something!!! She's made comments to him in front of me that are out of line. It's like she dismisses the fact that I'm here. No, I am not jealous. I'm pissed off because she's being disrespectful towards me. Stressed out over her! Ugh!!!! Not sure how to approach this.

Omg, thank you so much for stating that! I have the same belief as you. She's being "overly" friendly and over stepping. My husband is trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. I'm done with giving people that. I've done it before and it blew up in my face. Not happening again. I am so glad I have someone who agrees and sees my what I am trying to say. Thank you so much!

I am angry today because no one ever chooses me. I have spent the majority of this year going through hell with my son. He required multiple surgeries out of state. We had to go back for additional follow up this week... unfortunately where we go is where my family lives. I guess what the big trigger was being with my niece.. I have avoided babies like the plague over the last two years since I had a miscarriage and my niece was pushed on me, when I was already on edge. I ended up having a complete panic attack. I had asked to not have a parade of people through the house as my son is still recovering. I had offered to stay elsewhere , however that agreement was made. Unfortunately it was not followed. When I said something I was the jerk. Part of the people that was there was my sister, my mother and my sisters father... now a normal situation right? No! I had complete flashbacks of the years of abuse I went through with my step brother and his best friend..I used to beg for my mother to choose me, but she never did and the reality is she never will. I have always had the story that its all my fault and I was incapable of being loved! I was already on edge and I was sent into another world. Its been almost 48 hours and I cant seem to stop crying, cant seem to catch my breathe! I want so bad for someone to hold my hand and tell me its going to be okay. Im tired and dont know how much more I have to give. Ive never had an easy adulthood.. it has been a struggle every minute of every day. I work as hard as I possible can and cant seem to get ahead, yet my abusers have great lives.... my mother who was supposed to protect me has no clue and wouldnt believe me if I said anything and my sister who I protected is a self absorbed human being who has no idea what I sacrificed for her... yet will treat me and my kids like trash. I feel like Im fighting a loosing battle and cant get anywhere... so ya, Im angry

Wow, Im sorry to hear how burdened you are. Im afraid you had it right the first time-you shouldve stayed somewhere else. Sadly, your people are so toxic that they cant benefit you whatsoever even if they tried. Focus on your precious boy and cut yourself a break. You sound like a strong person who is under tremendous stress. Your priority is your son and you. Nothing else matters.

Hi Queen Coco's mama,

Today I am angry because there are so many things in life that are not fair! Example: how can I properly grieve over a very recent death in my family when I still have unfinished grief regarding others who have died? Yeah, I know grief is not linear and everyone grieves in his/her own way and timing. But ...

And then there is the grief that is grief but is not bereavement - It seems to me that this sort of grief, a living or changing or ?something type of grief, we in our society (well okay around me in the USA, central time area) do not do this well at all. I mean not that we get some type of grade or percent well done, percent could improve... I think that others (sometimes I am in that group too) do not "get it." Like, *my* counselor ... she did not die (thankfully!) but I can no longer meet with her. She is retired, for just over two years now. And it is her birthday this week ... ((Hi Linda, I miss you. and Happy Birthday!))

I think underneath my anger today is sad. A great lump of undigested sad. I'm not running anywhere! If you set a tiger on me, then I would .... ~ Platy

@cyanPlatypus6370

I've read what you've said, Platy.

Have you had a chance to check out our grief and loss forums?

@7CupsCommunity - yes, but not recently. The grief/loss section is SO HARD to FIND now that we have the subcommunities and that grief/loss is not one of them *yet*! It really is frustrating for me, especially as I used to post there semi-regularly and I could very much use the support of others in that section of the forum. ~ sad Platy

@7CupsCommunity - oh, by the way, I wondered even as I typed it last night, if some one would say literally yup, "I read what you said, Platy." .............. I guess so. (I think I could use about 25 hugs today.)

@cyanPlatypus6370 I hear you. I hear your frustration, your despair, your desperation for there to be some kind of closure. Grief is an incredibly difficult emotion to experience and work through, especially when it feels like it's just being piled on over and over with little resolution and close to no real outlet. You aren't alone in this experience. I'm so sorry for the loss of your family member as well as the loss of your counselor. She may not have passed away but you can still grieve not being able to meet with her any longer. That is still a loss and you deserve to grieve in any way that you're able to.

No one can dictate how you grieve or for how long. That process is based on the individual. There is no "one size fits all" in that regard. Let it out it any (healthy) way that you are able to, there is no right or wrong way.

I'm sorry that I just now saw this post. I hear you, Platy.

Please be gentle with yourself.
