I had the courage to begin healing by first, opening up.
I'm a freshman taking AP Euro history and my midterm is today in a like 20 min
I'm very uncertain of my future and if I'll be able to make a good one, especially work-wise.
@Morfo66 I can so relate to this!
Parenting is really hard. All I feel is resentment or disinterest from my son. I do so much for him, but have practically zero relationship with him.
@friendlyChestnut4964 well as a child I can tell you it could be because he just needs some space, something is wrong, or maybe he just needs you to show him that you care but in a less outgoing way like do some random acts of kindness for him like drive to go and get doughnuts with him or something.
@HeyyyyKatelyn Thanks. It helps to get a different perspective. I'm going to try to back off and give him some space. Maybe like you suggested, we can find a different way to relate.
@friendlyChestnut4964 im a mom of 5 and I have 3 children whom im positive are on the autism spectrum. 2 are officially diagnosed. They are very much into their electronic devices but I try to get up in their grills and talk to them. It doesnt always seem like they're listening but they are and they appreciate me caring. Im sure your son appreciates you even if he has that whole "cold front" thing going on.
Also i only mentioned my kids have autism because it can be hard to break into their worlds.
My 15 yo boy goes to thrift stores with me... Its just something we do. Hes a homeschooler through k-12 here in FL US. Its the best thing i ever did.
@adventurousCoconut5536
@adventurousCoconut5536 Thank you for the encouragement. People have told me that this is a season, but it doesn't make the struggle any easier. <sigh> I know it's really a matter of giving him some space and letting him be his own person. I also need better emotional boundaries so his coldness doesn't affect my well being.
losing someone is really hard.
society judges me for crying over a celebrity death but what if i only had that person to hold on to? what if they were the only thing making me life? it hurts. i feel like dying. i should be dead.
@minyoongis if this is about jonghyun, then please don't try or think about taking your life. I know it's hard, and I'm sad no one succeeded in helping him to continue on living, but don't. Let society judge us for being sad about his death, we don't need their validation for what we are feeling. They don't have any idea what we're going through now. It's okay to feel sad and vulnerable, we all are, and it's hard to accept that he's gone but we need to. It's very upsetting, and if you still need someone to talk to I'm here. Let's help each other out.
@haruman Thank you for writing these words, I didn't know I needed them this much <3
@minyoongis I feel exactly the same today and I know we
@minyoongis when I was younger I used to be very into certain celebrities and they were almost like family. This was before the age of internet so I didnt get to know much about them but I get it. They are all I had. I related to them because I love music. Making it, playing it... I had a tough childhood with an abusive dad and these people were his replacement to a certain extent. I would worry about them as if they were my own family. Im sorry that a special celebrity in your life has passed. I understand the emptiness you must feel. Im sorry.
Because someone who helped me with his songs and personality yesterday committed suicide
My only friend that knows that I have depression no longer wants to talk to me and she made me happy now I feel worse than I ever have
The thing that I love the most are no longer giving me happiness. Because it was a dream that keep moving me for the whole time, when this thing happen, I felt relentless amd draining. Why is that the thing that we love the most can also be the thing that will destroy us the most?
Im afraid to lose someone to distance. I dont wanna feel pain 😕
My relationship is still rocky and I wish I felt as much effort from my husband to fix things as I am putting forth
