We Miss the Feed!!!! (Attention please 😀)
So it has officially been 8 months since the feed retired, there has been a lot of people who miss the feed . Both the teen side and adult side miss the feed.
I used to be a lot active on 7 cups , writing my thoughts and ideas on my feed . I used to wake up early and read other people's feed . That used to favorite corner on this site.
There are a lot of people who miss those days on 7 cups .
We have a request! Please bring that feed back on 7 Cups or atleast an alternative of the feed it's a request on behalf on everyone who wants it back too.

I agree, many of us miss the feed. It was announced that a replacement of it was going to be launched soon, but then... nothing... months have passed and it was never mentioned again... it would be nice to know if there has been a change of plan? @GlenM

Yeah, I miss the feed as well. I used the feed as a way of knowing more about someone on 7 Cups like knowing their interests and hobbies and friends and other things. I actually really miss it and some might argue that the forums can be a replacement but a lot of people don't even understand the forums. Feed was super straightforward and you could even call it the 'social media' of 7 Cups.
I heard that it was due to lack of funds and stuff and also that a replacement for it might come sometime soon but I'm not sure. I think it's been about 6+ months now since it was taken down. Well, fingers crossed I guess 🤞🏿

The AMA's hinted at a possible return of the feed, or atleast the incorporation of some of the feed features in the future. Quoting their response to a question on the possible return of the feed:
"We are thinking. We might be able to use the feed portion. But how? What will we be using it for, etc. are some of the questions we need to answer. So as soon as we will have answers to all the questions and are feasible to implement the changes, we will let you know.
All suggestions are welcome on how to best use the feed portion."
I'm not entirely sure on how to provde these suggestions, but I guess, you could submit a request (under "Provide Feedback")

@bouncySalamander26 I didn't really understand those remarks ion the AMA.
I'm not sure what "the feed portion" is. The word "portion" seems a strange choice.
And the other questions like How? and What for? don't seem very appropriate either, because the feed existed for a long time. It is well known how it was used and what it was used for.
To summarize, people used the feed like a diary, and also to read, comment on and repost entries from other people's diaries. The lists of people you were following and you were followed by were visible by everyone, so that feed users took part in open networks of shared diary entries, creating a sense of community.
Diaries in the forum are different because reposting is not allowed by Rule 8, and the lists of people whose diaries you subscribe to, and people who subscribe to your diary, are hidden. It would not be technically difficult to fix these issues in the forum so as to restore the sense of community.

If their current statements are any indication-the only surmise I can make is that, there is little probability of the feed returning as what it once was.

Thanks Salamander for the update on this thread ✌️🤓 Guess we can hope the revival of feed. Like atleast Glen has something to say about it we can count on it.
