Can someone hear me out please?
I am someone who has always compared her life with others. I get disappointed and affected easily when I see others being successful and all happy. Because they took steps to come out of their comfort zones and I never did. I'm still afraid and have a very low self esteem. I wasted my crucial years because of fears and kept letting go of opportunities. I am always angry on myself and when I see others I feel 'it could've been me had I been a little more confident or had I had this or that'. It feels like I always want what others possess and I never appreciate what I have or feel grateful for what God has given me.
Been to couple of therapists, told them this, but still I'm unable to come out of this zone. It's like my mind is always worried about something or the other. My friends and family too are fed up of my behaviour and they have had it enough dealing with me.
I'm afraid of losing all the opportunities, ending up nowhere, and failing to do things I always wanted to.
My fears have increased to an extent that it's affecting my health. I'm trying to do Pranayama and meditation everyday. Journaling too. Trying to be positive which I have never been since my teenage till now (I'm 23)
I feel ashamed of myself, having shared my problems a dozen times since years and still never being able to be out of it.
@Serenesky123,
Hello Serenesky(unique name!!), it hard not to wish for easier and bright ways for things to unfold in our lives. And yes it does make us turn a blind eye to what we have in our lives. Realising that we are doing so is a terrible punch in our guts. And looking behind at the opportunitis we lost is disheartening. All of us do such things once in a while. Some of us do it a little longer than others. But realising that you are doing so is a strong start to redeem things. What done is done. But it's hard not to look into our past and feel guilty for what we missed out. Try not to . It's okay if you can't sometimes. That's fine too. Just try not to stare at it for too long. It's our life , we can eventually forgive ourselves eventually. Take care
🤗 Hugs 🤗 (if that's okay )
@Serenesky123
you are very young some people feel same way but have wasted 10 or more years older then you... so you are ahead of them realizing the issue.
I think it is easy to be comparing yourself but as you get older or even just LOOK closer you might be surprised .....have seen so many who portray a good picture but the reality is different.
I work with a bunch like this fancy cars/ fancy clothes but in a financial straights as it is all a facade and IF they were laid off tomorrow bet that car would need to to back etc.... you are on the right path to work on yourself forget comparing to others.
@Serenesky123i feel you I struggle with this too and I get so upset because I have so much potential sometimes even more than other but my mental fortitude isn’t as strong as others which ruins my progression at anything I do. I’m currently jobless and broke literally rock bottom and I have no one to blame but myself.
@Serenesky123 Do you have a job?

@Serenesky123 Hello, I'm listening. You know that? I am also a person who likes to compare with other. To be honestly, I am now also. Actually, I realized I has this problem a long time ago, but I can't control myself to compare with others. I feel not good about this. However, you will know to against with this is not unhelpful. It will work! You just need time. At the same time. You should know that comparing with other is an abyss. It is boundless, and it is never stop. You should just do your best. You are not required to compare with anyone. When I realized this, I tried to change my think about this. Now, I still can't control the comparison with others very well, but I have improved in this area. Every time this feeling coming, I can deal it better. It bring me much less stress.
@littleBarry177 The above represents my personal opinion, I hope it can help you.

Hey we should talk to each other I have the same problem like you
@Serenesky123 you are young. Still have time to achieve lots. See a therapist. Also an occupational therapist. And try to make small goals and achieve them first.
