I do not have a right to express my opiniom without getting reported
I did not cuss. I did not swear. I did not yell. I did not name anyone anything. I did not call anyone's name. I did not talk against anyones sexual, political or other orientation. I did not call anyone out based on their skin color or nationality. Yet, I got flagged for saying that a person who replied to me unsupportively, has problems that drove them to act in such negative ways.
@helloCranberry5684 IF someone thinks a post needs a 2nd look. Sometimes people will flag by accident as well.
I am curious as to how you know something was flagged? Can all members now see a flag on a post?
Just because a post is flagged doesn't mean moderation action is taken against it. If you have questions about forum moderation you can reach out to forum@7cups.com

@AffyAvo
*high fives* 😊 Affy and many thanks! ❤️ Great information!
@AffyAvo I see a flag on another recent post by @helloCranberry5684 but I did not flag it myself (and I see no reason to). I have also seen other recent flags that were not my doing. And I have seen recent posts with no flag, even though I did previously flag them myself.
I say recent because there seem to have been other glitches with old flagged posts that were deleted yet reappear.

@RarelyCharlie Thanks! It's really difficult to know what I see due to being on the forum team vs. not especially with all of the forum updates that have occurred.
@AffyAvo so now you two are talking about my "controversial" posts. Where?? You should not be talking about users in such way.
@helloCranberry5684 I was unaware that members without editing capabilities could see flagged posts. You had mentioned knowing that posts had been flagged, I was unsure how. This is a change, in the past that wasn't possible.
You no what I can very much realate to that. And very much in real life. And its amazing for you to speak out about this issue!

Hello! Regular user here.
I did happen to read the thread you are reffering to, and the comments that were deleted. I wish to offer my perspective, as objectively as I can. Perhaps it can be of support.
So, in the other thread, you wished for perspectives on this question:
"What are you able to
predict about a person based on their looks? Are you able to tell their
sexual orientation? Political orientation?
Music they listen to? Are they narcissistic/empathetic? Their
educational degree?"
I wish to paraphrase the 2 replies, the ones I believe you felt were unsupportive. One commenter said, that they did not predict anything from people's looks.
Another commenter said that looks should not be of importance when interacting. I can see how you felt this particular reply as devaluing your question.
Myself viewed both answers as an honest difference in opinion/perspective, and not necessarily as an attack on your curiosity - which you possibly felt like it was. That is ok.
In one reply, you did write something negative about *7cupuser's* nickname, and wished for them to not to interact in any future threads.
To my knowledge, this user answered your initial question in quite a neutral manner, simply stating they did not read too much into the appereance of people.
I believe your reply to them, did not resonate with this particular guideline:
"Unsupportive content including targeting, or attacking other users in the community is not allowed"
Asking questions is absolutely welcome! And of course, there is nothing wrong with having different perspectives. I think your curiosity engaged a lot of people, which is great!
Flagging my post for stating the possible underlying reason for someone's unssuportive reply is an example of anti-intellectualism.

Hi, I don't really see anything wrong with that. The fact that you had full respect of the person you are talking to and never mentioned any names. There's nothing to be accused of.
I had once a somewhat experience. I am only trying to be good, but in the end the caller cursed at me, saying so many bad things, accusing me of this and that. Saying so many awful things. I was the one who was nearly drove to the edge because i was judged so wrongly when i was only trying to help her. :(
I never said anything bad to her nor disrespected her. And yet I was the one who got hurt and bashed.
