Hi Brian, welcome to 7 Cups! We are an online emotional support platform that offers users the opportunity to talk to trained listeners, therapists, and a likeminded caring community. Here is a document outlining how it all works (google doc here). If you have any questions, you can reply here or send me a PM!
Hello, I am Chanali (pronounced h-aw-nuh-lee) and I am the proud jewish mother of 5, voracious reader, and not so silently in recovery... again. I have battled mental health and addiction struggles for 20+ years but didn't really start working on healing hardcore until about 6 years ago. I lived in denial for a great deal of time. Now I am working on staying on top of things and being the best mom I can be.
@ChanaliBeth Hi Chanali and welcome. I feel like you are going to like 7 Cups it has helped me in so many ways. I've dealt with depression for over 30 years and it wears you out trying to stay positive. But we are here to help.
@wjglory Thank you so much! I am definitely enjoying things so far. It is nice to find a community that just simply gets it.
@ChanaliBeth I am glad you are enjoying 7 Cups people really do care here.
@Heather225

Welcome to 7 Cups! That's a wonderful goal with the training guides and supporting others in the upcoming year. How are you finding the training materials so far?
@Jenna
I am finding the guides very informative as how it is presented with videos and short quizzes.
@bouncySunshine4521
It sounds like you're really enjoying the interactive and engaging approach of the training. I hope you continue to enjoy the training. If you ever have any questions please feel free to join us in the Listener Support Room.

Hello and welcome to 7 Cups 😊
Actually, our Listeners are kind-hearted and eager to work volunteers, not professional and certified therapists, but you are welcomed to join group chats, have one-to-one live chats or post messages on the forum. There are lots of people here who understand or share about various life and mental health experiences.
Just in case you wanted to talk to the therapist, you may also use this link:
hello people, I am approaching 40 and I do feel lonely at times after failing many relationships in the past. Sometimes I am able to understand the root cause of the breakup, sometimes I am confused. I do wish to get some support whenever life gets stressful and I fall back to the overthinking patterns about the recent failed relationship.
@sunshine1661
hi there, welcome! you may try posting in the relationship stress community to get some insight. here it is! https://www.7cups.com/forum/relationships/
Hello and welcome @sunshine1661
@sunshine1661
I believe it is great to learn on our mistakes and reflect on the root causes of our breakups. Sometimes that is a serious single reason, but sometimes it's the variety of different factors. Without overthinking it, just to not make the same erroneous decisions again.
From my experience, there is still a lot of life to live after 40, so I keep my fingers crossed, believing the best is still to come for you.
@Heather225 Hi all! I'm Serenity7321. I am a new listener and intern here at 7Cups. I'm so excited to join this wonderful community of kind and compassionate people and learn from you all!
@Serenity7321
welcome and thank you very much for signing up to listen! I'm a PM away if you ever need help or guidance!
Welcome @Serenity7321
@Heather225 peace everyone I’m grateful to be in this space to get support for myself. I’ma coach and work in the behavioral health industry and often times we don’t do the necessary things to take care of our own mental and emotional wellbeing. So this is really great!
@Peace4menow
welcome! and so true that those in the field tend to neglect themselves - glad to see you taking care of you!
Welcome @Peace4menow
@Heather225 Hi everyone ......here for a friend and I also wanna know how to deal with people who pass comments behind your back and say that they didn't say anything.
@Mimiyang
hey, welcome to Cups! how are you settling in so far? do you need help finding your way around?
@Heather225 Yep will u help me around ? 🙂
Hi I'm Alex. I just joined 7 cups a few days ago. I came here to battle the loneliness of being an isolated trans guy in an unsafe area. I could list a whole alphabet soup of letters that also bring me here but the main highlights.. BPD, AuDHD, agoraphobia, social anxiety, health anxiety, CPTSD, GAD, depression and a bunch of others. I'm 41 and i've been in therapy since I was 4. One thing I've learned about therapy is that it only works if you use the tools. As much as i wish therapists just had a magic wand that would fix my life, it just doesn't work like that. It took me a really long time to realize that but I think I'm starting to get it a little. About 6 years ago now is when I really started to take my mental health seriously. I've been actively seeking tools and resources to help my mental health and trying my best to put them to use. Like I said before. that doesn't mean I have a magic fix it wand. It means I'm preparing for battle and i think this time I might stand a good chance. Im hoping 7 cup will be an important tool in my tool box! thanks for the warm welcome <3
