Hi, I am TheoDoor (basically Theodore but also reflecting my great stupidity). I am a relatively new listener on seven cups (I have only been on it for 2 months).
I am volunteering here as a kind of work experience for my medical school application, as I can do it while I am on my summer holidays:)
During this time I learned the importance of communication with someone when everything seems to have reached a dead end. It is rewarding to see people feel better after a chat. But what I struggle with is following up with the members and building a long term relation.
That Is all I can say to introduce myself, Thanks.
@TheoDoor Hello and welcome. Thank you so much for joining and sharing about yourself. You are going to be a wonderful listener and have a lot of fun. Hope you are doing well. 🙂❤️🤗
@TheoDoor
I love your name! Thanks for volunteering - it's great to have you here 💗
Not everyone needs a long-term listener. Some people really just need a person short-term to deal with an issue they are dealing with in the moment. Also, keep in mind that many members talk to several listeners, so you don't have to shoulder the burden of being the only listener providing support. If you'd still like to work on improving your long-term listening, I'm sure a mentor would be happy to help you with that! 🤗

You are welcome to 7cups. I hope you are finding it fulfilling here🤗
Hello everyone,
I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I’m someone who has walked through both service and struggle, and I’m learning each day how to carry those experiences with resilience. Connection and community mean a lot to me, which is why I’m here — to both listen and share, and to hopefully remind others that none of us are alone in what we face.
Looking forward to being part of this space and growing together.

I came here for emotional and spiritual support. I am grieving the loss of my 54 y old adult disabled daughter on February 27, 2025. It was very sudden and unexpected. She has always lived with me and I have always taken care of her. I am missing her so much. It hurts. It was just the 2 of us. I feel so alone. The house is too quiet and empty.
