Hello ladies!

I know it has been a moment, but I am here just celebrated my birthday on the 8th of this month. Then got sick lol! However, I do want to talk about the book from Mel Robbins. Especially as a woman who is closing in on her last stage of 20s, and closing in on her 30s.

Mel Robbins described how being a woman in search of friendship is harder as an adult than as a growing child/teenager. I truthfully believe her.

What are your thoughts on friendship?

@InsightfulPhoenix

I am not sure if it is harder I met my bestie as an adult. it is just harder to find time and going thru same things at same time.  One may have young kids and other have older more independent kids.

People want different things out of friendship. setting outline helped only one of us can fall apart at a time. offer support not fix and respect the other persons limits.

In school and teens we have same situations of school friends have shared interests and exp[eriences.... I think of all those who moved away or went to different high schools etc... same as work friends as adults except teens have less responsibility so they have time to chat and meet up then adults that have home maybe kids/ family that takes up our free time.

Adults know their time constraints and often try to make" friends" with someone close I mean I can walk with neighbor.... but if other friend lives farther we have to plan a meet up who is driving in my area traffic makes even short distance seem a lot farther so if someone moves out of the zone they might as well be on the space station.

Thank you for your participation on the post, and it’s a valid perspective! As adults we do have more constraints on our time

Hey Phoenix, I want to boost your post.

Also, I want to say that women don’t have to put up with this shyyyit. Like seriously.

I’m watching “Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich” and it’s making me feel all “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo."

Much love,

your Bud

@InsightfulPhoenix that's absolutely true and I believe it's part of why women get caught up in unhealthy relationships. If you don't have a solid support network, including trusted friends, it's harder to move on from relationships that hurt us, because that's all we have.
It's hard for adults in general to develop meaningful friendship, because of work and responsibilities we didn't have as teenagers, but it's even harder for women who are often tasked with being the main caregiver of the family. For us to feel like a while person and not just a caregiver, we also need meaningful relationship with people outside the family, people who don't rely entirely on our care, people we can treat as peers.

@Aayla

Thank you for participating on the post, because I absolutely agree. From personal experience, my parents relied on me for ALOT of things, and also had a sibling that relied on me to. Sometimes, parents and friends even don’t realize the genuine impact
