Tired of humans with nasty behavior towards Women
I'm tired of being part of a culture that discourages critical thinking about beauty standards. Tired of people body shaming thin women, claiming they're not attractive enough. Or women being pressured into costly risky choices by profit diven industries. I wish body modification weren't framed as a requirement for value. Idk why people praise shallow celebrities whom have gotten surgery or don't do anything to make the world a better place. It feels like many thin women are being pushed to change their bodies with cosmetic surgery instead of being encouraged to think critically ,grow or actually improve the world.https://youtu.be/Em7vc8NWUNY?si=nSRyg3e--F11P6DH

Yes, it's very damaging to push unrealistic expectations of beauty and health unto women.
And creating unrealistic standards.
And expecting it viewing a certain weight as desirable.
Women come in all shapes and sizes, skin colors, different hairstyles, fashion senses and all equally are beautiful in their own rights. It's modern shows like Love Island for example that creates a fictional ideal of what the perfect woman should look like and many men sadly adhere to this image but it's not reflective of true life 💚
@Amanda84 Great reply Amanda, yes agreed that misogynistic and Heavily patriarchal shows like love island 100% push a false narrative on beauty etc. Back in the 50's it was something different, different again in the 60's, 70's and 80's. It is all false and good to take a step back from that, to know who we are and accept ourselves for who we are as enough always.
@Lovelight1211
Thank you for your kind words 💚 🤗
@Amanda84
So true. Thank you for engaging in the important discourse about this and for contributing to reshaping the way the world and we view ourselves. <3
@DustOfSnow
A pleasure 🩵🤗
@polite2 Great post Polite, I’m tired of this too Polite. Things need to Drastically change. We as women are already enough as we are. We do not need to chase shifting, false beauty standards that constantly change. Beauty exists in all forms, and society has no authority to define what beauty is. We as women have the innate freedom to live, dress, and express ourselves without harmful narratives or pressure to conform to false ideals- we were born free, and freedom from these chains is our birth right.
@Lovelight1211
That is truly a powerful, encouraging message that gave me goosebumps. Thank you for this, and thank you for spreading this message into the world.
@polite2 This is such an important message, thank you for spreading!
@polite2
This is a very astute observation, one that is unfortunately true: women being subjected to unfair, often unrealistic and sometimes damaging standards is a sad reality and spreading awareness about the topic is the first step to resolving or overcoming, so thank you for sharing your views and resources on the topic <3
What's one thing you love about yourself? Let's try to form a small subthread to represent our acts of defiance towards a patriarchial society by sharing something we love about ourselves that isn't necessarily a social imposition.
I'll go first: I really appreciate my logical outlook on the world and my ability to balance empathy and compassion with reasoning and practicality.
:)
wishing a spectacular day to everyone who reads this <3
