Why is it I'm hungry, but when I go to eat absolutely nothing looks appealing. And the thought of eating it brings me near to tears. Does anyone else get this or am I weird?

You are most certainly NOT weird! It's unfortunately very normal for people with disordered eating to find food either neutral in appeal or disgusted, even if they used to love it or are constantly thinking about it. My explanation would be that your eating disorder is almost "infiltrating" the part of your brain that wants to eat or knows you should. Coming to tears is very normal as well. You're not weird, and you deserve love and care.
