I try to use sometime during each day for self care and awareness. I take time to work on things needing to be fixed or remind myself that not everything is done in a day. Happy President's day to you too.

Hi point is that I had my birthday last week and I got promoted... I'm glad there was no low point last week.. which is really rare!

High point was feeling truly loved, low point was having to let the connection go. That’s right, intense week. 😊

High point, laughing with my bf over a silly dating show, that I asked him to watch. Those sort of things aren’t his type of thing so it took courage to ask and frame it in a way i thought he would find enjoyable (making fun of it cause honestly it’s kind of a silly pretense for one and doesn’t really fit our morals). But we had such a good time talking about it and laughing and figuring out what different people would likely do next due to their personality types. It really cemented in more just how alike we really are in some respects. We see things similarly, but also differently.
Low point, there have been a lot of them. Probably not knowing who was going to help me with my ketamine tratment. Bf went out for birthday and got wasted because ehe has been stressed. He was being followed walking home by cops. So he took the ride offered by a stranger and ended up going to strangers house and passing out. Even when i called him panicked because i woke up and he wasn’t home he said he would be there. I wanted to trust him but he still sounded inebriated. Sadly i have dated alcoholics (which he is not, but i know the i’m drunk and coming home merry-go-round and they never end up home when they say they will) and even asked a friends advice too to make sure i wasn’t just leaning into my trauma too much. He also said hey try and find someone else cause he may not get home even if he wants to.’It was rough rough. I mean I was trying to wake him up by calling him (i knew he had fallen asleep, even though he did not tell me had until much later) and contacting everyone i knew to ask to come help me do my at home treatment which was scheduled and i had to wait three weeks for. Once one of my friends realized there was no way he would be there on time he rushed to help me. So i was very lucky. It went well in many ways, but also had some trouble because my friend doesn’t know my sensitivities as well as my bf does. No fault on my friend for that. Everything was so harried I didn’t get a chance to warn him. Bf got home right as we finished. Pretty aggravating considering i could have easily gotten him home sooner if he had cooperated in any way. We had talks about what happened. He is struggling so hard tight now. He had forgotten about my appt until i reminded him while he was drunk still. He hadn’t wanted to cone home snd that was why he went with the stranger. He dod regret he hadn’t been here for me. Andi told him he needed to find a better way to let off stress because it was not acceptable. Karma hit him too and he cracked a rib.
things have been pretty rough lately. I am trying though.

Wow. That sound very intense. It seems like your boyfriend hit a sensitive or triggering spot when he didn't come back as he said he would, and then didn't answer your calls/texts. I would have felt a little scared or panicked in that scenario, too! I'm SO glad a friend could help you get to your appointment after all, and that you and your boyfriend could sit down and talk about what could have gone better or differently. I hope you both can move forward from here.

Today is Family Day, celebrated in 5 Provinces in Canada as a Regional Holiday.
Last week, I worked productively at home. Made weekly and weekend goals, and met both. Need to continue with these weekly goals to reach the ultimate goal of trying to launch my business this summer.
Personal goal.. My mum's friend is suppose to introduce me to a couple of guys. One is the friend's daughter's fiance's best friend, and the other as his colleague. I need to first meet the daughter, I was suppose to meet her this past Chinese New Year dinner, but she ended up having the flu and didn't attend the party. So, the goal is to work on myself. I find that I'm a quite boring person, don't have any meaningful interests to share when asked. Mum's friend said the best friend is an outdoorsy type, that they always go on hikes when the weather is nice. So, I'm guessing that this summer, they might organize something similar for us to meet. I'll have to see how this summer goes, I'm usually quite busy with work, might be too tired over the weekends to hike. Might have to work something out.

@Jaeteuk Thank you for sharing how things have been going for you! It sounds like you have some great goals in place, and are thinking of smaller steps you can take to get there! I love that one of your goals is to work on yourself. I think that is fantastic!

Thank you. I wonder if I need to ask my mum to ask her friend again. Maybe just organize meeting at a cafe together is fine too. Before I get too busy with work, meeting now will work out better.

But if I rush it with my mum, I don't want to sound too desperate. My parents are going away for a trip in the beginning of March, and will be gone for a month. Might have to wait until they return. I'm not sure if I should initiate in contacting my mum's friend myself, just ask for her contacts.

Low point was being hit on by a creepy physical therapist at PT while I was trying to exercise. I'm in a vulnerable spot there, doing squats and bending over, and now I have to worry about looking sexy while doing it, not cool. The high point was movie nite w my hubby. We just snuggled in and watched some stupid idk movie but we were close and it was wonderful. ☮️
@Meshack oh, sorry about the weird PT person trying to hit on you! I agree, pretty creepy. I hope you don't run into that person again.
And YAY for movie time with hubby! It's nice when you can just relax and spend time together!
