Stuff(y) Happens
I don't know if anyone else is going to admit this but I own two small stuffed animals or plushies and yes I'm 35+.
Turns out this is pretty normal with 43% of adults owning a stuffy, with a hefty percentage of that being more men.
And while there's no super extensive research on it, the studies done found a definitive correlation between stuffies and mental health.
The connection to nostalgia as well is also fine with rejection of the past found to be a greater red flag than general nostalgia.
Anyway I felt compelled to try them from some conversations I've had on here so started with one found mini mint squishmallow.
Then yesterday I found a cute beanbag mushroom, reminiscent of Toad from Mario so I picked that up too. They can even be *fashunn*

I have a Panda bear I sleep with and it also makes a good cushion. It definitely brings back some of the comfort I had as a child. It's nice to see I'm not the only one :)

I have a plushy sheep, which I saved the day after st. Valentine's day, no one bought her so I did 😊
She's a very useful tool for my trauma recovery and inner child work.

Pshhh I have several stuffies…. Blankies too!! Mostly sloths and teddy bears though! Comfort items are a necessity!!
