Why do they still remain lonely?

because they have grown weary of taking chances that someone will be a true friend and show up.

This is so true, my friend. We cannot deny the endless frustration we still face whenever we deal with people who have never been true to themselves, nor the deep psychological scars we permanently carry. Yet, isn't the hope for genuine connection enough to keep us alive and moving forward amid the challenges of this inherently indifferent world?

💛😔

More people should open their hearts and let love in 💛 and the world would be a beautiful place if we spread more kindness 💛

I couldn't agree more. Spreading kindness without expecting much in return takes real bravery. Yet, that genuine care eventually breaks through the cold isolation, bringing the warmth of a new, compassionate horizon.

I think many people are surrounded by others but still don’t feel truly seen, heard, or understood. Real connection begins where masks end. 💚

@Iaminnercurrent

Spot on! When masks fall and our true personas try their best to be genuinely true to others, we can more easily see the true essence of one another, feel a profound connection, and develop long-lasting emotional ties and deep understanding that last for many years to come. ❤️

As Carl Jung said, loneliness is not the absence of people but the absence of being heard and understood. There's 5 people in my family but I still feel lonely, and I have friends whom I cherish very much but they don't understand or feel me and most of them have their own problems to share. I only know one person who really does listen and hear me and I'm really grateful for him. Everyone wants to heard but very few are willing to listen.

Thank you for highlighting what loneliness truly means. I completely agree with you—loneliness has never been the physical absence of people around us; it is actually the absence of mutual, profound understanding, of being heard, emotionally supported, and never judged. I'm so glad to know you have someone who is genuinely willing to listen and understand you, and I would be honored to be another person who truly listens to you with all my heart, not just my ears. 💜

Yes, my friend, even amid a throng of people we could feel immense loneliness and severe existential alienation. Nonetheless, I solemnly promise that I will forget you not. 💜

In this picture, I see two people so close but still separated, but why are they both starting up at the sky instead of talking to each other? Fear. Of being hurt, of saying the wrong things, of being perceived as something you aren't. Fear of blurred lines, invisible boundaries, sociatal ideals. Too much fear keeps us from reaching out to others. At least here, you're not alone. ❤️✨

Tova, your words hit me like a quiet revelation. You saw past the picture and looked straight into the human heart—into the tender, unspoken fears that keep us gazing at the sky instead of into each other's eyes. To feel so completely seen and understood by your insight is a rare, beautiful gift. Thank you for stepping through that fear and bringing your warmth here. You’ve turned a simple post into a sanctuary, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude for your presence. ❤️✨

It's very difficult to form human connections. A lot easier to avoid the process entirely. Even if isolation is also painful, it's all I know how to do

Thank you for sharing such an honest and vulnerable truth. It takes a lot of courage to admit that. Choosing isolation often feels like putting up a shield because protectiveness feels safer than the risk of being hurt. But even in that self-defense, acknowledging the pain of isolation shows that a part of you still values true connection. Please remember you don't have to break down those walls all at once—taking it one small, quiet step at a time is more than enough. You're not alone in feeling this way. 💙✨

in my opinion that because how we protect our selves from feeling disappointing after opening up with people, and as for myself, I built a wall around myself for people, I choose who can get in and stay outside (only knowing my cover) and its rare to find people in real life who can understand, not judging, supporting, 'Cause I always observe people outside, and some people hate being vulnerable and honest about themselves, or having bad communication to deep talk and comprehension so they only attract people who love to have fun just like them and when weakness started to shows up they started to judge and hate each other from behind, and its hard to approach someone and be close with them, mostly it's only formal cowkers, classmates, or colleagues, and normal friends, because to be close with someone else needs something like mutual feeling to want to be close? Or simply the same energy? I've read something like that, people draw (or attract) to someone who has the same energy as them and they can get close, and if people keep feeling lonely that they just haven't met the right person who has the same energy as them or not letting everyone in to get to know them

Your reflection is so deeply insightful and relatable. You captured the exact dilemma many face: building walls keeps us safe from judgment, but it can also lock out the very connections we crave. It’s so true that genuine bonds require rare emotional maturity—a shared energy where both sides aren't afraid of vulnerability or deep talks. Thank you for sharing such a meaningful perspective; finding someone who shares that same frequency makes all the waiting and careful vetting worthwhile. 🌿💜
