Today I took a long nap in a cool room and when I woke up I did a meditation and felt great about myself!

I signed up for a meditation class, and yoga classes so I can be healthier mentally and physically.

Hi, Peace,
Well, I have my hair curled for tomorrow. I've got this God-given wild head of hair that is wavy in spots, and curly in other spots. I have to put product in it to control it and if I pin it up the night before, there's a good chance it will behave the next day and fall into pretty waves and curls.
All this to run errands tomorrow. lol

I am starting to see that other people have a lot in common with me. They want to be happy. I think that and wanting to avoid pain are strong motivating factors in everyone. Noticing that has helped me have more compassion for what things are happening in people's lives. That makes me feel good about myself.

i watched a youtube video today and it made me feel like i'm more in control of my life than i thought. it improved my self esteem a little and i feel more beautiful

(yes it is you!)" it's by a guy named andrew who runs a channel about narcissistic abuse. kind of a niche topic but not too long ago i had to cut a narcissistic friend out of my life and i'm still healing from it. i watch a lot of his videos and find them helpful to get me through.

It hurts when someone you love dies especially if it's a parent like your dad, hugs. It’s important to take time for grief, joining a support group helps some people to get through the stages of grief and not get stuck. Something that can be very helpful in dealing with your thoughts can be writing them down somewhere, maybe in your private journal, or just on a piece of paper. You can burn it later if you want, but get it out of you.

I have had a life long habit of picking my fingernails. Been reading threads here since joining 2 days ago to try and deal with this issue. Today I have not picked my fingers at all. Came close two times but thru awareness did not succumb to the urge!
