Hi, Ami,

being smarter, being wiser, losing the fear of getting older

What are the most rewarding things for you about getting older?

I'm closer to death.  I think that's a good thing.  I get senior discounts in some places.



Getting older we get wiser and we appreciate more of what we have knowing the true meaning of life. And being able to realize the real important things in life from those that are less important.

Actually, no. I can't think of any good features about it. Not even one.

By now I probably sound like a broken record but I'll say it anyway: with every passing year, the wisdom behind the motto "live fast, d!e young, leave a good-looking corpse" becomes more obvious to me.

What are the most rewarding things for you about getting older?

Living in the present. Abandoning living for some future time that I never reach. Having experimented in life, living what feel rights and comfortable and meaningful. Taming my wild mind. Having time to reflect on life. Having time to give to others. Knowing that whatever happens I will get through it somehow. 

@amiablePeace77.  It took me a while to get used to not working but now I appreciate the lower stress level and being able to sleep later. When I was younger I was very worried about my appearance and what others would think. In my older age I don’t worry about that anymore. No more dating or trying to find a partner. I’m very glad to be done with that! I also do appreciate being post menopausal.
