Hello lovelies in the 50+ community, it’s Monday again. I wish everryone a wonderful week laughheart

How often do you wake up feeling optimistic?

One thing to make the morning better is to get a healthy breakfast to get more energy, be more productive, and able to focus better. Good nutrition is important when aging and can help to feel more optimistic.

How often do you wake up feeling optimistic?

Never. I wake up feeling groggy, don't understand anything someone says to me.

@Offmytrack

I hear you, same here when feeling exhausted, tired in the morning. I had to learn not to exhaust myself too much in the eve, also putting on some good music helps me. What about you, what does help?

Lately, nothing helps much. She says maybe she will marry me after some number of years. I don't really know how many years I have left to enjoy her.

@Offmytrack Interesting choice of words but very realistic too . I too feel as we grow older , it is a good idea to do and enjoy things before it becomes too challenging for us. Eg. Nice and enjoyable to eat corn and crunch nuts before I have problems with my teeth.cheeky

@amiablePeace77 in my opinion good nutrition is absolutely key in feeling optimistic and nutrition can create an all over feeling of well being. No truer words have been spoken when someone said "you are what you eat"

I have been a vegetarian for 7 years and have reversed aging lol. It may not work for all but it has certainly helped me. It wasn't simple to figure out what promotes health but it was every bit worth the effort.

thank you for posting this.

Wow that are amazing results! I too believe that we can heal our bodies, prevent a great deal of illnesses with good nutrition. There are even so many different diets for depression, anxiety etc. and yeah, I prefer a vegetarian diet too, my body feels better with it.

Sorry to hear that mornings are so challenging for you. Some people need to "warm up" for the day, what are things that help you to get on track?

I think getting out of bed, nice cofee or tea. Sitting outside and taking a breath. It really helps me clear the morning fuzziness

@amiablePeace77, I'm taking your question to mean; How often do I feel optimistic when first opening my eyes in the morning? Probably close to never.

I am sorry that this question upset you. I know from what you said here that you are facing many challenges at the moment and it's not easy to wake up and have optimistic feelings for the day when you know what might be coming up. I hope things will get better soon 🤞, hugs.

How often do you wake up feeling optimistic?

Not very often - there's always this little thought, a daydream, that something good will happen, something miraculous, but of course, it's ridiculous and unrealistic. I know that it will just be another day like all the rest.

Sometimes dreams do come true, hope it will happen for you. In the meantime is there something you can put on your plan for the next day that could make you feel looking forward to the day?

@soulsings Somtimes even just breathing is okay. Coping is absolutely success and a great achievement. Coping can be taking one minute at the time, one hour at the time or one day at the time. I absolutely love the positivety you spread <3

@amiablePeace77 Most days wake-up "ok" but for past few years, its a little rough 'cause my wife's alarm is set for 4:30am and she usually gets up before 5:00am most work days. So I might try to doze for an hour after, but if too much work to do, then I get up too. She's quick to leave the house for her daily commute so we don't see other until the evening.

Lucky for me, I've always been an early-ish riser so I don't mind too much. The problem comes when I get "sucked in to late night TV or movie" then I really don't want to get out of bed the next morning too early.

I'm not a breakfast guy, but love it, but I do like my coffee in the morning.

@agreeableZebra7523

Seems like you are managing your mornings pretty okay given the circumstances. I can understand being woken up at 4:30 can be something that can cause a problem if you stay up late watching TV. I'm happy you manage to go back to slumber before you have to get up yourself. Coffee in the morning gets you through the day, doesn't it?

I hope you do get to sleep "undisturbed" a few mornings as well :-)
