@amiablePeace77, I want to be free of anxious thinking. I think I have to get out in the sun more, and walk more, and meditate more.

That is a good thing to want to be free from being anxious and getting out in the sun will provide some vitamin D for the skin.
The walking will help stretch out those tight muscles and work up the heart. Then you can sit down and do your meditations which really helps calm the mind and relax us.
Those are all good things to do and good self-careheart
Happy Holliday..............

Friend.
About anxious thinking - I think it comes from fear. I think it is possible to fight fear by doing small baby-steps, trying to do the things you fear. A wonderful, brave preacher, Joyce Meyer (you can google her and listen to her messages - you wanted to meditate more - she is very good) talkes about (and have written a book about it) fear. She sais: "Do it afraid". Pressing oneself a little bit.
So - you want to be a little bit more outside in the beautiful sun? Where do you live where the sun is shining so fine?
All the best - Helga.

I find the more I trust myself, the more I become my best friend, talk in a nice way to myself, don't be the punisher but the one who motivates and encourages me, the less I worry about the future. I hope coming here and mindfulness will help you too.

Hi @freshOasis7877 (the shoppingcenter next to where I'm living is called Oasis. Maybe we could take a cup of coffe and a beautiful peace of cake there Oasis - ha.ha.).
About "fear of procrastination" - I think you can read what I wrote to "@purpletree...." above - I talk a little bit of fear there.
All the best.

Thank you, glad you enjoy the photo laugh

Procrastination can become a trap that many of us fall into. Something I find helpful is to look at the true reasons which make one procrastinate.

Mindfulness practise helps me to stay in the now and to focus on my to-do-lists.

I’d love to be free of the physical ailments I’ve been enduring for over a year. Despite everything I’ve done (doctors, hospitals, medication, procedures), not much seems to be helping.

Hi friend.
Do you want to share what condition you are suffering from? Maybe somebody here knows a little bit about it.
All the best.

What do you want to be free of and what is needed to get there?

I want to be free of all my illnesses and and conditions, both mental and physical. No more C-PTSD, depression, anxiety, epilepsy, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, hypothyroidism, impotence, irritable bowel syndrome, etc.

@WharfRat

Having to cope with all those struggles is a lot! I wish there would be a one for all solution. Practising mindfulness meditation might not be the solution but it can help a lot to calm and for example reduce blood pressure.

@Helgafy

I wish there would be a cure for you but hope that there are things you can do to manage your CFS/ME to reduce your suffering. The spoon theory seems to help many people.

Friend.
Spoon-terapy? Never heard of that. I do pacing - that is: Feeling how much energy I have and do my work after that, not exceed my limits.

@Helgafy Hi, I hear you , I wish that I could get rid of Me/Cfs too , although I know that I can't and can accept that on most days. I think that it's called spoon theory and it's similar to pacingsmiley. Also spoon theory can be helpful trying to explain to people what we are going thru in and understandable way.

@Helgafy

It is spoon theory not therapy, sorry for confusion. This links gives some explanations about it but it is essentially what you do, namely not exceesing your limits!

What do you want to be free of? I'd like to be free of thinking negatively and getting so defensive. What is needed to get there? Being able to build trust back into my life. (Not ignoring gut feelings but taking more time before I respond)

@Lifer

When we have no or little trust negative thoughts easily surface. I hope this will change so that you can feel better in life. This is a link to a video I find quite helpful The Space Beyond Criticism https://youtu.be/QGwuVe_QRNE
