I totally agree, even with relationships...it's hard bc everyone just wants you to have a partner and call you difficult if you aren't with someone but the reality is that I prefer spending time with friends that are good and interesting to me and their children, than being in a relationship I don't really care for...just for the sake of...

I received a letter from an agency in a language that I'm not too familiar with. There was a long security protocol to access the contents (entering a password to get a passcode to .... etc etc). It made it seem very serious and intimidating.
It turned out to be notification that they had made a miscalculation, I was owed money, and they had deposited it in my account.

We lost a deal that looked like it had a profitable future. A few years later, the person who had signed the contract instead of us was removed from the contract and ended up facing heavy losses.
Eternally thankful to the almighty for saving us from the misfortune.

@amiablePeace77 I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Even some things that are hard to explain, or things that may cause a lot of grief and pain. Not everything is explanatory right away, sometimes we don't understand why these things happen until much later.

@amiablePeace77 walking up to a guy that 1. I never talked to him before but have had a crush on him since last semester 2025. I only saw him when waiting for the bus to go home from class, sometimes 2. he had every right to decline or reject, and 3 he could be dating for all I know, and here I wanted to expose my feelings subtly, ha. terrifying.
What I thought was a bad idea, even though I did it anyway, turned into something that I don't regret doing, because even though he seemed very caught off guard, he actually took what I had made. Do I know how he felt about it or anything? no. But just the fact that I did something out of my comfort zone made me realize that I didn't let fear get in the way and am capable of not letting fear get in the way

My divorce in 2023. My ex and I were married for 20 years, and it was a mutual decision. I thought it was just going to be awful, but it's far from it. We've maintained a close friendship (for a couple years we were still in a relationship) and we co-parent our son, meaning we both spend time with him as Mom and Dad. It's important for us to keep that connection for him. I thought things would be hard for him, but he's much happier with his parents not sad and fighting. I LOVE my independence and wouldn't change it for the world.

I think when I reflect back just about every adversity in life came with a positive. For example when I got married and had to leave my home town and subsequently got divorced it taught me that I could live anywhere in the world so long as I could work. It added to my resilience.
