I used to like to go between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. because it was peaceful in the stores. There would be people restocking and cleaning But I could browse as long as I liked without getting run over.

24/7 hour shopping is definitively very convenient for customers.
My neighborhood is very diverse in population, dog breeds, and hair colors. I think I've decided I like the orange best, or maybe the purple. Who am I kidding? I like them all. The labradoodles are probably my favorite of the dogs, simply because they're so fluffy when they're bounding around! They remind me of big teddy bears.

I live in a very cute historic city. They have a public pool that is a natural spring. But I'm moving on the 4th of May and I'm looking forward to see what I like about my new city. :)

Living in a rural area can feel lonely, I agree (living myself in a rural area) so it's important to stay in contact with others and get out from time to time, just to see something different.
Please don't forget that 7cups is open 24/7 especially when you feel lonely.

Thank you so much, Loneliness is a way of life for me that I have had to battle and still do. I have no one to talk to about anything that means anything. I don't do much driving now that I am having issues with my eyes and sunlight glares or any type of bright lights. I did get to go to a social craft gathering that my daughter's friend paid for me to go to and we colored and had lunch it was about 16 women there. I wish I had transportation to go more often, but like I said I don't drive far distances anymore.

I have the same issue as you I'm glad that you got to go to the craft party. I hope you will be able to do some more of that. My daughters went to a free one at the library yesterday. I don't know if you have a nearby library that might have some more stuff like that. I don't drive at all and finding someone to take me is next to impossible. I can't afford Uber or Lyft. So my poor ot/pt therapists and doctors end up being my social buddies, much to their chagrin. 😜🙄

I went to Hobbie Lobby to get paint for one of my projects and a lady came up to me and began talking to me and invited me to a craft class at a nearby Library today. How about that for timing😂. It is close to my home and I can drive to it. They meet twice a week and then they all go to lunch and it is a free class.😊

It's wise to be careful with driving when you have eye issues! Sorry though that it prevents you to get to places you would like to. Would it be possible to gather a few people from your neighborhood and pay someone to get you all there and back by car? Transport as a group would be much cheaper. Just a thought.

Yes, you are right, I go to the eye institute on the 4th, and hopefully, they find it is just my eyelids that the muscles have grown weak in. There is a surgical procedure to correct that, Not sure I want to have that done yet.🤔

What aspects of your city or neighborhood are you grateful for?
While my city is no longer safe - there have been many breaak-ins into houses, cars, businesses, and whatever, my own neighborhood seems to be relatively safe. At my last address, someone broke into my car in the middle of the night. I had nothing of value in it. They took my road maps and threw them into a garbage bin that had standing water in it, so they ruined. I found my owner's manual and registration in another bin down the block. A guy across the alley from me had money in his car and it was taken. Why leave money in your car? Unfortunately, my city is a victim of decay. Gangs are moving in and crime is on the rise. I'm about halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee.

I find it's always saddening when one hears about all these criminal acts in the news but it's truly different when you experience it on your own! Glad you're safe and I agree money does not belong into the car!

Have neighbors that respect us and our Dog.
Not that we do anything that I would expect to cause ill repute.
But in the past places we have lived, it had seemed all we had to do was breathe. And the neighbors we at arms

Glad you can live now at more ease with your dog and neighbors. Not everyone shows understanding for dogs or is animal friendly in general and it can cause great disputes.
I'm grateful for the diversity and convenience of my neighborhood. Makes me feel connected with others and I can get everything done quickly!
