Show us some Love for our Pets

We all have pet(s) that mean something to us. When we need a shoulder to cry on. When we need a kind ear. Our Pets are there for us.

So lets share the love.

I will start off with Mine.
I am a dog lover. For me, they are the closest to Him and His love for us.
They are unconditional with their compassion and companionship. He is a rescue from Puerto Rico. Name is Winston [After Churchill]. Commonly refer to him as 'The Prime Minister'. He is extremely skittish with strangers and in public places. But at home - He is the PM who is stubborn at times and attempts to manage us. While being the best dog ever, not like a biased though LOL.

He's a good boy. I lost my good boy this week. Frito died this week on Tuesday. I am trying to get over it. I loved that little dog and went above and beyond for him in terms of helping him with his illness. He went quickly, quietly, and silently in his sleep. I have released him and will still miss my dog son. Eventually, when I am ready, I will get a new good boy or good girl... a sibling for him, far from a replacement. No one can ever replace my ter-bear, my dog son. However, he might appreciate a new little sibling eventually.

He's already given me permission to move on with my life. It is what he would have wanted. He was the best boy ever. I will miss him. I made him an online memorial on the day he passed. I hope that he likes it. Closest to a doggie *** page I ever made for him... It may be basic as heck, but it was important to make. He mattered dearly to me and he was the closest akin to a child that I had. He took care of me and I took care of him. Now, it is time to try to move on. I will still be sad that he is not here now. I am now. However, he would have wanted me to live on and be happy. So, that is what I am going to do. Hope that you do the same thing for your good boys and girls!

PS: If they are senior dogs, get them insured ASAP. It will help on medical and vet bills; that is a regret I have. I did not have money for a vet. He should have gone. I went above and beyond to help that dog within my means, but I did not have the means to do that. I should have. If so, maybe the DCM and strokes would not have claimed my dog son, but I am not sure if his quality of life would have been the same. He was normal up until he passed in his sleep. His quality of life was good until then. It happened quick, suddenly out of the blue. Take care of your good senior dogs! Don't let them go without treatment; do everything you can for them! I tried my best with him. I just wish I had the means to do more. That's my only regret because I tried everything possible under the Sun.

@aalvis

My heart goes out to you, so sorry for your loss. It hurts when someone you love dies especially if it happens suddenly and no time was given to get prepared. You did everything you could to help Frito and I'm sure he loved you for all the care and love he received from you. When my German Shephard mix died, she was sick for a long time but still became quite old, I also was asking myself "What could I have done more" but I did everything I could and reminding myself of this helped to moved on.

Nice that you arranged an online memorial to remember him!

May he rest in peace

As @amiablePeace77 stated. Thank you for sharing. It warmed my heart.

Winston's time is limited, it saddens me, but that is the second gift. The First being unconditionally loved even though we probably do not deserve it. The second is knowing it \ having it.

I am confident that Winston would want me to get a sibling. I probably will. Winston is my confidant. The one that I know I can be vulnerable and open without judgement or anything other than a lick on the nose or a snuggle.

Again, thank you for sharing and reminding us how important our pets are to us.

@aalvis

Sooo sorry for your loss.😢

I agree not a replacement! The love of a pet is like a child and part of the family. Thinking of you during this difficult time. 🤗

Wow! You got a really cute dog, I love it!!! I’m a person that really likes animals, but because my mom doesn’t like it, I never had a chance to have one. I’m actually a cat person, but I love dogs too. I hope you and your doggie have a nice day and I getting a pet cat soon haha :)
