What to do when you can't keep being happy

We all want to be happy in our lives, in relationships, at work, with family, friends, and our children. But what happens when we cannot stay happy? Regardless of your definition of happiness, living a fulfilled life is important.

Habits matter. Ever try breaking a habit? It seems hard to do. Good habits are ingrained too. We want to keep a good habit because it is how we want to be happy. Why not work on keeping good habits? It may be hard to do, but with more work it can be achieved. Everyone's version is different, and how they approach that path is different.

Here are some ways to stay happy.

Exercise—keep a daily routine of your exercises; do not go off course. Regular exercise can keep you from being stressed and having anxiety and depression.

Get plenty of sleep—it is recommended the average adult needs 7-8 hours of sleep. It is good for your overall health, brain function, and emotional well-being.

Practicing gratitude, by simply being grateful for what you have, can give you good boosts in life. They do not always have to be the bigger things; smaller things can give you gratitude and happiness.

Declutter—This may sound like a big thing to do, but it is easy. Whether it is decluttering your mind of bad things or decluttering around your house, making it more pleasant to live in, it can be done with ease.

Be with friends. Be around the friends who make you feel special, happy, and worth being around with. Friendship can make you happy when you are down. Friends can help you fix things needing to be fixed when spoken to.

Reevaluate your goals. Reevalutate the things you want in your life. Think of the things you need to always maintain that happiness. Keep things and people who make you happy in your life and release the things that do not keep you happy.
