Let me start by something easy:
Have you ever appreciated a sunset?
@SoulfullyAButterfly
And I post the first reply hopefully
Yess. The most beautiful sight in memory, watching sunset from shore with parents. Heaven
@sunshineDew66 yay, a first response already!
This memory sounds super peaceful, I love sunsets and sunrises.
@SoulfullyAButterfly
Helios and Phaethon, I just read their myth just yesterday. Phaethon nearly burnt the entire universe when he found out he could not control the horses of Helios Chariot... be careful what you ask for was the moral? Take heed of advice to change your requests from someone wiser?
The beautiful has an order to it that youth fail to see and to recognize? Only Helios can provide this order in the sunrise and the sunset... how Fun!
@PeterJC
Just read the story and it's wonderful. Thanks for sharing
@PeterJC Wow, I will need to search that story up too, but so true, that we All at times, fail to recognize and appreciate nature.
Just like W.H. Davies pointed out in his poem "Leisure" :
What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
@SoulfullyAButterfly
Archetypes from mythology are given credit and weight in Chakra Meditation. I want to change/ replace Indian mythology with Greek/Roman Archetypes. Indian Mythology requires me to learn a whole new story set. With Greek/Roman mythology it is just a refresher course. There is no flexibility in organized religion that has retail sales folks. Study of mythology provides flexibility and requires no beliefs.... just stories.
@SoulfullyAButterfly sunsets are my very favorite time of day. Im fortunate to live in an area where we have a variety of whether which means variety of beautiful beautiful sunset.
As a painter, I really appreciate beautiful colors, and the golden light that you get at the end of the day. I also love the long shadows cast by the setting sun
@SoulfullyAButterfly
on my island they say that when the sunsets, and two people are watching it together, if they see a flash of green light just before the sun goes beneath the water, then they will be together forever.
I saw it 3 times and it was incredible
@SoulfullyAButterfly
Yes ,love sunsets ,specially in beach with nice breeze and friends ❤
@fancySummer52 yes they are very moving but a little sad too when the sun disappears
@soulsings
Soul ,sun disappears ,starts and moon shine the sky ,creating new New picture , different beauty.
Thinking about it ,same place at different time can look so different❤
@fancySummer52 thanks for that other option. The time of mystery approaches!
Yes,there is nothing more peaceful than watching the sun set and the beautiful
colors it displays. @SoulfullyAButterfly
@Favor2020 beautiful experience!
@SoulfullyAButterfly Yes very much so! Sunsets in Texas are beautiful , especially when out in nature and the whole sky just lights up.
@SoulfullyAButterfly
Yes but not recently and not enough
@SoulfullyAButterfly I once was walking on the beach in Florida and turned towards the sunset. It was so beautiful that I took my camera out of my pocket and took a picture of it. Later, I made it my wallpaper on my computer. Several people asked if they could have the same wallpaper, and I gave it to each of them.
My question -
Have you ever held a butterfly in your hand?
@sunshineDew66 Great question, thanks for sharing!
Unfortunately, I haven't ever done that. We do get regular butterfly visitors in our garden, but I wouldn't ever dare try to hold one! To be honest, the smaller kinds sometimes even scare me because it takes a while to point out that they are nothing more than a butterfly!
@SoulfullyAButterfly
:)

@sunshineDew66
I have held a butterfly in my hand before. It was really magical. We were at the zoo and they had a display brought in that had doors on both sides so all the beautiful butterflys couldn't get out with the double doors.

@sunshineDew66

@sunshineDew66 yes! We went to a butterfly house one time on vacation and not only did I held one in my hand but they also landed in my hair in on my shoulders. it was all great!!!
@MissPen
I can imagine.
When I was younger and in a better place. It was surreal and kind of a spiritual encounter, as if a higher power was letting me know that everything was going to be okay.
Many times. There were lots of butterflys where I grew up, and they would sometimes land in my hand. It was always a real treat.
Have you ever caught a fish that was to big that you had to put it back in the water?
@DanaMH
A beautiful egg of wonderous size fell from the heavens into the waters of the earth. The fish pushed the beautiful egg to the shore, where doves flew to it and landed on it and warmed the egg as they would their own. The egg hatched and Aphrodite emerged. How Fun!
@PeterJC
We caught a sturgeon that was 3 inches to big once and had to put it back in the water.
@DanaMH
That is wonderful and has me guessing? The sturgeon? My guess: Provides caviar, too big means throw it back?
@PeterJC
The sturgeon we cut up and eat it like steak it is just fish instead. Yes, it was to big so we couldn't keep it. It took us 45 minutes to get it into the boat and it traveled 3/4 around the boat. It took 3 of us to get the crazy thing in the boat.
@DanaMH
45 minutes!
@sunshineDew66
Yes the fish was not nice to us at all.
@DanaMH
Pisces Constellation is a fish too big...

@PeterJC
Great picture
When I was young I was taught to fish with a bamboo rod. They were all Sunnies and we put them back. Never was comfortable with fishing.
@Zengrl
At least you were taught how to fish. A lot of folks have no idea how.
@DanaMH True! Some people have never planted seeds or seen brocolli in the wild either. It
@SoulfullyAButterfly
Have you ever sat by a quiet lake with the sun dancing on the ripples and the clouds floating through the deep blue sky and just felt the joy of being alive?
@soulsings yes I actually have a picture of my family when we were camping. Early Spring. Sitting or laying in the grass , beautiful blue sky, just sitting enjoying the warmth of the sun. I have never forgotten that day. Was probably one of the best days when I was a kid!
@Lauren63 wow that sounds so beautiful. What a lovely memory.
Just thought you might want to know we added another open chat ever other Tuesday from 8PM EST to 9PM EST.
We are also going to have a Holiday Celebration room Dec 25th from 4PM-8PM EST may be expanded so that may be a place to celebrate the holidays unless you have other plans.
@Lauren63 I love camping too and your moment sounds awesome.
@soulsings
Yes long long time ago🙂 . Not lake ,river but the picture was same .
Thank you very much for asking ,had flashback of old good memories ❤
@SoulfullyAButterfly
have you ever layed in the green grass, inhaling the fresh smell, feeling its softness and the sun is watching you with a smile on the face?
Beauty in it's purest form -
@amiablePeace77 oh yes!!!
@MissPen
Pen, you love laying in the grass too 😊? How does it feel for you?
@amiablePeace77 it feels like perfect contentment! Im a country girl at heart and I spent many summer days stretched out in the grass. Usually with a book.
@MissPen I love seeing animals or faces in the clouds. I guess that is the creative side of me expressing itself.
@MissPen
what a wonderful imagination to keep for stressing moments (imaginary mini-vacation)
@amiablePeace77
Yes ,used to do this lots as teenage .thanks for reminding .lovely memories ❤
@amiablePeace77 Yes, this is such a calming and lovely experience for me!
Have you ever skipped a class? Asking everyone to recall something maybe so far away for you folks!!!

@SoulfullyAButterfly Lots of them! There was a class in particular where I would just fall asleep - it was math and we had the notes already. So I would go at least every other week just to check in to see where we were at but used the time to do the suggested practice problems instead.
There were also those I skipped to study for a test or work on an assignment. I would guess there were problem times I skipped to just to do fun things with friends when school stress was building (or just ended) but nothing really stands out.
In jr. high I had a 'skip card' for being on the honour roll - we could use it to do anything we thought was 'educational'. In high school I skipped a few classes for extracurriculars, out of town dance competitions and those kinds of things.
@SoulfullyAButterfly when I was in highschool I had special permission to be late and only went to school until 2 pm because I was a competitive figure skater and trained from 7-9 in the mornings and 2-4 in the afternoons. I had a class that I'd only go to part time because of the way the afternoon periods fell. If I didn't have skating and could go to the class I'd skip it. Might be why I struggles with math
@SoulfullyAButterfly
Yes skipped few times .But one that brings smile is the one where I got caught by the lecturer with friends 😊...
Thank you butterfly for playing this game ..it's really awesome!
Have you ever been on a train?
@DanaMH funny, it is the only form of transport I haven't tried yet.
@SoulfullyAButterfly
We have some fun train rides here at the coast and dinner train rides. The longest train ride I was ever on was Amtrak going from Seattle to Disney Land. It shares the same train track with the commercial trains and has to move for all of them. Was not prepared for the almost 12-hour delay in travel with a small child which was 5 at the time.
@DanaMH oh no! must have been harsh.
@DanaMH Lots of 'touristy' types of trains, like at the historical parks. I once took a train across multiple provinces. I used to use what was called a 'train' to commute - it was really light rail transit (LRT) but most referred to it as the C-train.
@DanaMH
Yes ,many times . In Mumbai ,it's the best means of transport🌸
@fancySummer52
I have seen pictures from a person I used to support that went there and they where really cool pictures also.
@fancySummer52
Thank you Dana . There are many places in and around Mumbai for tourist. My favorite being nariman point .
@DanaMH Yes I have, but it turned out bad because I commuted on the train and ended up hating it because it was so slow. Hopefully some day I'll come to like trains again when I find a faster one :)
I took my husband on a Polar Express train last year. It was fun when they did the hot chocolate dance.
@Zengrl
That sounds like fun. When the movie came out I couldn't get our calendar clear for that for the kids when they were younger.
Have you ever sat on a beach all night to see the sunrise over the ocean?
@Lauren63
That would be fun to do sometime and really pretty to look at also.
@DanaMH yes I was with someone who was going thru some relationship issues and we just ended up talking all night and watching the sun come up. It was gold!
@Lauren63
Glad to hear that you were supportive for them. I saw a really cool rainbow a few weeks ago here where I live when driving home and thought it was the correct timing to see that also. The best sunrise and sunsets that I have seen is over on the West coast when we go over there to visit. I will have to try to remember to take a picture next time so I can share it with all of you. I also enjoy walking on the beach in the sand and watching the water which is so relaxing. I found this picture on the web for us to enjoy until then of water on the beach.

@Lauren63 that is so supportive of you to do that. I saw this image and it reminded me of your story

@Lauren63 I have such a beautiful thing to look at :)
@Lauren63 yup!
@Lauren63 I haven't stayed on a beach all night but I have seen the sunset on a beach.
