A Talk On Self Care With MilaAvery!
Talker: @MilaAvery
What is your idea of spending a balanced time on 7cups? Share your idea of how a good day looks like on 7cups, for you.
My idea of spending a balanced time on 7 Cups would be, doing whatever I want to do, without exhausting or boring myself. For me, a good day on 7 Cups would include checking up on my members, replying to forum posts, increasing my growth path levels and chatting with some listener friends.
What challenges did you face in trying to strike that balance?
A major problem I face in my life is that, I tend to spend a lot of time (in an unhealthy manner) on things that I love, which includes 7 Cups. By doing so, I tend to overwork myself and do not get to spend time on things apart from them.
How did you try to deal with those challenges?
Recently, I’ve been spending more time on my non-cups life, which includes my family, studies etc. It was tough for me in the initial stages because I just love being here. However, now I find it easier to just log out of 7 cups when I do feel that I’m done for the day. It’s the first step that’s always the difficult one. Once you are able to overcome that, I think, the remaining path would be easier.
What are the benefits of improving your balance for the time you spend on cups?
According to me, improving that balance helps us to lead a healthy lifestyle. We get to spend more time on ourself and our loved ones, and enjoy our time here at 7 cups too.
What message would you like to give to the cupsers who have come to be negatively attached to cups, in one of the many ways?
-
To all those who are negatively attached to 7 cups, I want you to know that I get you all. I've been there too. However, it is important to realize that, being there for others and caring for others when you do not put yourself at the top of the priority list, doesn't bring much good. Also, with time, there is a chance that you might end up getting bored here. So, bringing a balance between your 'Cups' and 'Non-cups' life is really important. Once you achieve this balance, things seem a lot easier and you get the time to do everything in your life.

Hiyaa Mila, so nice to hear your thoughts on burn out, self care and having a balance between on and off cups life. I soooo agree with you. Having a balance, knowing when and being able to log off from here is definitely important and yes yes, all about taking that first step. 💜
I'm so glad you're working on finding that balance for yourself too and have been able to step away when need to. Super duper proud of you and rooting for you. 💜 Thankyou for partaking in this wonderful interview series.

I love you said your ideal day on Cups is doing whatever you want to do - we get so caught up with our volunteering that we can easily forget we are volunteers! I'm so glad to hear you've been able to find that balance lately 💕

Thank you Elliot!!! <3
Yesterday I was bored and I just popped in to see what was going on. I don't always log in every day. But I saw all the messages waiting for me so I went through the whole darn list...lol. Just wanted to see the thing empty for a change. I left supportive messages along the way, clicked hearts on many posts to support others. I think a more balanced on and off life here for me is maybe just pop in for a half hour or so, depending on what I'm doing that day. I don't think I'll ever do what I did yesterday again...lol. But I'm glad I got all caught up. Felt like I got more of the general feel of this site in doing that too.
So for me, a little time every day maybe. But life here can get in the way and I may not be able to come in absolutely every day.
