This week we're highlighting an awesome teen leader: @LavenderHere
Lavender will have been a part of our community 2 years as of the end of this month. Since joining, Lavender has stepped into several roles and has been supporting our community with passion and integrity. Two users nominated Lav!
Why did you nominate Lavendar?
1. For while now up to the day I wrote this, we have zero Forum Supporter on RF, but with Lavender as a teammate, anything is possible! Lav often reach out to me with many ideas to support and activate the community and she's so easy to work with. Her teamwork skill is outstanding! It's a fun journey to walk with you, Lav! 💜
2. They are the most active most amazing person ever! She has gained many leadership roles in many quality roles such as in the VL project where she regularly hosts AMAs, supports loads in CT with discussions, PMs etc and is in TL often giving chat support and helping to boost engagement. She also goes above and beyond with many really useful forum posts such as the one explaining different additional roles recently. Teenie town would be so different without her! You are awesome, thank you for everything you do!

We asked Lavender a few questions to get to know them
1. What motivates you to be a volunteer?
I believe that if we all help each other as much as we can, the world will be a really lovely place. That's what motivates me to volunteer, be it on 7Cups or any offline volunteering I do❤️
2. Your proudest 7 Cups achievement?
Well, my proudest achievement is being able to support a member or a mentee, and being able to give them hope and confidence to keep going and doing whatever they are doing❤️ Being able to help is the biggest one for me hehe❤️
3. If you had one piece of advice for our community, what would it be?
One piece of advice I have for everyone is keep learning and growing, there is always more to learn and do. Everyone is doing awesome what they are doing, so believe in yourself and keep going and growing❤️

You are active in the Forums that adult listeners read, teens that aged come telling how they miss you, they also post comments about you in the Forums, particularly when you are awarded a role or something, you are known as a great team player and a "mover and shaker" in the teams you belong to...

I completely agree with everything you wrote about being a volunteer. I feel like every needs someone in their life compassion, caring, and understanding. Positive mindset and positive affirmation has helped me and I'm helping my friends who are struggling right now. I just check on them, just listen, if they want or need advice I can give that to them, and let them know how amazing they are and to keep moving forward. Don't expect it to be easy, it's a process but with practicing that positive mindset will help them through those hard times and not be stuck and shut down.
