Leadership Spotlight: mamtasha22

I am always excited when I get to highlight one of our amazing teens, and @mamtasha22 is no exception! She joined our listener community in January of 2021 and has evolved into an extraordinary leader through a diversity of roles. She is currently the Community Mentor Leader for the Self-Harm Recovery Communty!

Why did you nominate mamtasha?
She is actually multitalented. I was shocked to see the number of roles she has and in the same time managing it well. She has been my coach/mentor for a month and I learned a lot from her, She is my 7cups role model :).

What motivates you to be a volunteer?
What motivates me to be a volunteer is I found 7 cups during some of my darkest days volunteering here is probably what kept me sane I met some of the best people here and these people are what keep me here

Your proudest 7 Cups achievement.
My proudest 7 cups achievement is probably being a PA for the care team led by @Mango3 this a team very close to my heart and being able to be a part of the team is a very proud achievement for me

Who have you liked working the most with in your leadership journey at 7 Cups so far?
I have honestly enjoyed working with most leaders but I especially admire @Mango3 @sia1325 and @lueurspace they are my biggest inspirations

Which active listening skills help you when communicating with your teammates and fellow leaders?
For me the active listening skills I try to use the most with my teammates and my fellow leaders is probably reflection validation and open-ended questions. I feel these 3 help a lot in teams a team is full of many different kinds of people all with their unique and distinct views of things and as beautiful as that is it can also easily cause misunderstandings so asking open-ended questions can help clear them up and reflection can help give clarity to everyone ❤️

What's next for you on your 7 Cups journey?
For now, I plan to just focus on the teams I am on I have stepped down from quite a few. Being burnt out isnt the best so I want to focus on a few teams and give them the best of me instead of focusing on many teams and ending up neglecting them

Question from the nominator: how do you make time for everything? like for all the roles and for offsite life?
Usually, I try to make a routine but life is unpredictable no one knows that more than me lol XD so I usually take breaks XD when life gets hectic and unmanageable
