Depression Support 1 Update
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that Depression Support 1 will soon be badge locked, so that only those with the Group Chimer badge may access it.
To earn the Group Chimer badge, you must have at least 5 group chats.
If you're a regular user of the room, it's likely nothing will change for you in terms of being able to access DS1. You can check your profile if you're unsure whether or not you have the badge.
Anyone who is unable to access this room can continue seeking support in Depression Support 2 or the Depression Community Room.
This badge lock is being put into place to prevent harmful users from returning on multiple accounts, and to protect the regular users in that space.
I will update this thread once the badge lock is in place.

I can enter as a moderator and I don't have the chimer badge. Not sure about regular listeners though

It seems that listeners don't have access at the moment. Hope this is resolved soon!

xD I'm glad that was resolved. However @Dancingalong I recommend not posting something like that in the forums next time since one of the ways to keep a room like that calm when no moderators can enter is if they are kept unaware that moderators can't enter

You might be locking people out of this room for a very long time. I posted about missing this badge in April last year, I probably earned in Dec or Jan. I didn't recieve it until August. So 7-8 months of waiting on 7 cups to fix an issue, and now you are considering locking someone out based on this?
@AffyAvo Actually, looking at my emails it wasn't recieved until December. Krink just responded to me in Aug. So it took a year for me to recieve this badge.
@AffyAvo - The badge is automatically assigned, so there is no wait period once criteria have been met. The reason for the delay previously was that a number of members met the criteria before the badge was created! It was assigned to everyone who met criteria from the point it was created, but we had to go back and award them to everyone who had met criteria before it was automatically awarded. Hope that's clear! There is no longer an issue with this badge and over 27000 members have it already!
@Heather it seems there are still many members who have badges for 20, 50, 75, 100, 200 or even 500 group chats and still don't have this badge, so the issue is not totally resolved.
@vivelespatates I've seen at least one person where this is an issue still as well.
Also, if there is a glitch, member badges can't just be awarded by an admin, so even if the past issue was entirely fixed, what happens if there's a future issue?
@Heather I don't have it or some of the earlier badges after 2 years. Can you please correct this??
Sweetheart, you might as well just lock every room, because trolls and cyberbullys visit all the rooms. Just saying.... they will always find a way in.

@BeastIsTheBeauty If they did, the new accounts of people who were guests that wanted to become members for access to other things and rooms on this site would also be locked out.
The G abuse was decreased through having only General Chat for Gs. I'm assuming new Ms that want to seek help in the Depression Room can use the other Depression room.
There are still SOME good people out there who go through both rooms to volunteer their help.
