Congratulations to one of our Mentor Leaders, @jersey123456! Jersey joined the 7 Cups family in 2020 and serves as an Academy ML helping to guide our students. It's a mix of both background and frontline work - very important stuff!

Why did you nominate Jersey?
Jersey is simply a wonderful soul. She's short in words, hard at work, and huge in support. She's the type of friend you'd be lucky to have in your corner. Thank you for being you, Jersey!

We asked Jersey some questions to get to know her better!

1. What motivates you to be a volunteer? Being able to make a difference. I think the reason why I joined 7cups and my motivation remains the same. I have always wanted to help , in any sense of the word. It's freeing and at the same time has a good sense of responsibility. However the core idea through all of this remains the same- to make a difference.

2. Your proudest 7 Cups achievement? There are times when a member comes back and tells me about how they were doing better and our chat gave them perspective. It just makes me feel so so proud of them and myself.

3. If you had one piece of advice for our community, what would it be? Be yourself authentically. Not the idea of someone somebody thinks of you, but what do you think about yourself ? The journey is hard, accepting the good and bad about ourselves but that's perhaps the journey all of us are on. Do what you want to do and own it and love it.

4. What's next for you on your 7 Cups journey? I currently want to focus on my role for CDM. It's a role that I immensely enjoy and I hope I can become better at it.
