I like to meditate and try not to jump into conclusions. After a while, they seem less frightening.

Honestly? Minecraft. Between the soothing music and the focus of simply putting stuff together, it does wonders for my mood, and helps me feel less out of control. Minecraft will always be cool cheeky

I used to paint some random paintings, but when I studied architecture and got a lot of negative criticisms I stop using my pencil. and now when I am under stress I just feel lost.

@DinaElwy pick your pencil back up and sketch. You have to make you happy, not them. I'm not the best mechanic but I still pick my wrenches up. We can't let others people's opinions affect our happiness.

@AnxiousOne1987 @DinaElwy

hey Dina, i somewhat agree with anxiousone.

i can comprehen the difficulty of balancing your self-wants, happiness and also for others. Myself am struggling with mentality of needing/wanting/having to please others - be it for whatever reasons, and sometimes or most of the times, it only end up hurting ourselves most of the times. We may sometimes feel that we are hurting others, but actually they might not or maybe not as intense as you think it is.

Hmm... me being able to type this out.. i wonder why i cant change myself.

anyways back to yourself, i do hope, i believe anxiousone do too, that you be able to pick up your pencil and continue/start drawing/sketching again - at least do some little thing to aid yourself when in need.

@DinaElwy

awh I'm sorry to hear that, Dina. That tough criticism can definitely make people kind of lose that enthusiasm to draw as a hobby in our free time. I don't think anyone should give up on it though. Everyone has their own way of drawing or painting or sketching. There is no right way to do it, so let your creativity free! Art therapy can be a great stress reliever, and I hope that step by step you'll feel more comfortable painting again as you used to. 💗

I work on and ride my motorcycle. When I'm on it the only thing that matters is how good the wind feels. I've never felt as free as I do when I'm riding.

Hello! Thank you for sharing. Painting can be a great way to relieve stress, but everyday life sometimes makes it hard for us to find time to do it, as it requires time.😮

Boxing.

It's a cure-all for me.

If I feel anxious or frustrated, I do some boxing.

P.S I use a Century BOB (freestanding dummy) in my back garden but if you dont have any equipment or can't get to a boxing gym, just do some shadow boxing in your room or outdoors. You'd be surprised at how good a workout that can be.

Often working up a light sweat can uplift us.

I also used to enjoy painting Warhammer miniatures. Just spending hours focus on these tiny little models in my big hands brought alot of stress relief. It's been a looooong time since I did that though.

And collecting Disney Pins brings me joy. I like to arrange them in frames and spend a while viewing them from time to time.

wow. Painting Warhammer miniatures and collecting things sounds very relaxing and fun too! Our go-to hobby can change through time, so it is totally understandable to not have done that recently.

Boxing and any form of exercise sound amazing to get that mood uplift when feeling down or anxious.
