Both are powerful emotions, but which one is easier to do?

It's easier to keep loving Love but harder to start loving... but it's easier to start hating but much difficult to keep hating..

because hate arises from our inability to control the circumstances around ourselves.. Hatred makes us feel that our sufferings are reasonable even if Hatred can't make it any better.. Like if someone hurts you physically you need a medicine and need to taken care of in a hospital.. but your family members who aren't from the medical field want to punish the person who hurt you.. even tho it makes no difference to your suffering but it makes them believe that hating and trying to punish extremely is the right reaction... know if they fail to achieve that and weeks or months later you are cured and moving on with your life they can no more keep on hating the person who did it to you.. because it's worthless.. now

and assume the person after serving his punishment in prison comes to you and tell you he's sorry and he would spend all his nights as repentance in front of your house on the street until you forgive him.. initially you'll be reluctant abd will not be able to allow yourself but as time keeps passing by and you see his resolve unmoved you realise he really feels guilty and now you would feel regret by not forgiving him.. so ultimately one day you call him ar your home give him a nice dinner and forgive him.. finally.. now you know he's such a nice person at heart and you'd try to stay in connect with him and have feelings of compassion and Love towards him for the rest of your life...

Yes, love feels lighter on the soul and makes us free .... hate seems to be heavy on the heart, not a pleasant feeling to carry in my opinion...

Yes.. That's a perfect summary of my answer.

Right. Love spreads happiness and hate only brings sorrow....

When you hate someone, it hurts you more than the other person.

hatred can't last forever, love can! so when you say you hate someone you represent a temporary state of mind but when you say you love someone you represent a permanently true and natural decision of your soul. Don't deny your hatred if you have it express it that's the best way go get rid of it.. if you suppress it and fake optimism or love.. it will definitely hurt you more than the person hated

@oneamongstyou285

I think your first sentence put into words really well what I was thinking. it might appear hard to begin a relationship of any kind with somebody but I find it so so hard to actually have enough reason and will to hate someone permanently. of course there's cases and cases so it's understandable that some people actually have hate relationships if they have a past but in the question they ask in general so I think it's easier to love than to hate. ofc bear in mind that hating isn't the same to simply not mantaining relationships w others or disliking them

Love is easy if you get love in return.

@NotFound20 I agree both are strong emotions and powerful 👍

I found it easier to love, simply because it's easy to find something to love in everyone. Hate is emotionally and physically draining and hurting ourselves. I pray to never come to a point of hatred 🤍

What do you think, Found?

In my opinion, both are equally consuming. One causes positive emotions and other one negative.

sometimes, love hurt more than hate.

For me Hate consumes too much energy but is easier to maintain. Love can be harder to maintain but takes a different kind of energy. If that makes any sense at all

Yes because when we hate someone it causes unhappiness to ourselves as well which is draining.

Hate comes easier, it is easier to do. Love requires empathy and understanding, also sacrifice at times. If I feel wronged, it would be much easier to hate the person/reason than to spend energy understanding why something happened or why someone did what they did

True. We find love harder because it is hard to maintain with many sacrifices.

Also, sometimes we keep an expectation that if we are loving someone then we should get love in return, but that doesn't happen every time and it becomes source of pain.

So if we love without any expectations, it's easier and doesn't cause any pain.

@NotFound20 oooh good question.

I personally feel like it takes more energy to hate. Love comes more naturally.

October 27th, 2022

@NotFound20 I think love takes efforts and hate doesnt. So we hate a lot more people than we love. Ideally, it should be reverse. So, the question is how do we make love automatic? 🤔

When each person loves the other person as much as himself , then it will become automatic. 😊

@NotFound20 that's a good question and I suppose that depends on one's life.

For me, it's easier to just hate because I grew up around people including family that gave me a lot of grief and heartache, basically emotional and mental abuse are bad things to go through.

I think that's why I'm so angry towards this 1 online streamer that mistreated me and she keeps bullying and harassing me with text messages and emails generally from her or her bots, it's why I want revenge against her so bad because the world needs to find out what kind of person she truly is.

She's a well known liar, she's trying to lie saying that she's helped me but that's just her own delusions, she can't help anyone but herself and those that are in her orbit that are controlled by her.

@NotFound20 me too but sadly it just seems to keep coming back with issues going right back to the person, my caretaker has had various issues and now Walmart's online store is trying to poison me all because of this online person.
