1) Introduction to Content and Marketing at 7 Cups
7 Cups currently has separate dedicated teams that focus on both Content and Marketing. This discussion outlines both teams and provides an overview of their current focus.
(A) Content Volunteer Team
The Content Volunteer Team was relaunched and redesigned in 2020 and is led by @SoulfullyAButterfly - more information including an application can be found here
Focus:
The team works to improve site content in the following areas:
(i) Questions and Answers (Q&A Pages): Quality answers are researched and written in light of search engine optimization (SEO) and other best practices to ensure that the community gets verified, valuable information in response to common mental health questions and concerns. These answers are considered “short tasks” as they involve quicker content production.
(ii) Expert Mental Health News and Advice Section: Existing, published articles are reviewed to ensure up-to-date information, quality length, expert verified facts and other important topic categories by editors.
In addition, fresh content is produced for:
(iii) Expert Mental Health News and Advice Section: Alongside fresh content provided by experts, the team works to research and produce relevant fresh content articles that help boost information and awareness related to the categories that 7 Cups offers expertise in. Writers are welcome to collaborate with experts to publish co-authored articles or produce content individually to be published under the 7 Cups Community Account.
(iv) All other Content Needs: The team is ready to tackle and undertake content tasks that may come up as other needs. These content assignments can relate to listener guides, upcoming growth path playlists, improvement and support of online therapy-related information as well as many other possibilities!
(B) Social Media: Marketing Assistants
The Marketing Assistants role was added to 7 Cups at the end of 2021.

I'm very interested in the Social Media Marketing aspect of 7 Cups.
This course appealed to me because I'm excited to learn more about effective content creation, especially in the area of social media management and marketing.
I bring some photo- and video-editing experience with me and would love to further enhance my writing skills to apply my experiences and new skills at 7 Cups as well.
My goal is to better understand how to create content that truly engages and draws people in!
Even long before discovering 7 Cups, I had considered launching a health-related blog to share my experiences, insights and resources for others facing similar mental and physical health challenges.
I'm eager to learn how to use social media strategies effectively and efficiently.
I'm looking forward to this opportunity in the next couple of weeks!

@SoulfullyAButterfly
the area that interests me most is the team of volunteers of the content especially the question part answer because I like to know that the information given are all true and know what the members think about it.
@SoulfullyAButterfly I am interested in both, honestly! But, as of right now, I think B) Social Media Marketing Assistants interests me a bit more. I love content creation beyond just writing content, and have taken some courses on social media marketing. I have an *** account where I create content focused around mental health (it's very ammature) but I love doing it and feel that in todays society so many young members are more likely to digest mental health info via social media posts rather than long form blogs, so I think it's important to meet them where they are at. The focus, "Focus:
The Marketing Assistant role at 7 Cups involves social media graphic creation, short writing as well as content generation, event conceptualization and execution, as well as other tasks that will help you build mental health awareness and support by supporting the 7 Cups social media team" is right up my alley from the social media graphic creation, content generation, short writing, and all the otehr tasks. The event conceptualization and execution is SO interesting to me and I am really excited to learn more about what it entails. I love event planning and am especially passionate about creating events that allow others to learn more anout mental health and have a safe space to go to.

Looking forward to seeing your work, calmSky

I so agree with you. Now days everyone is on social; media. They rather watch it. I to have a social media platform that is way armature, but your right. its so much fun.
@SoulfullyAButterfly
I am really interested in building the reputation up and the knowledge of 7 Cups. So I really would be interested in working on the 7 Cups Social Media Team. Making Fresh Content on the social media platforms and making new graphics. Yes Please.
@SoulfullyAButterfly
Marketing, making content such as videos, and short commercials. making card post. These are the areas where I shine the most
@SoulfullyAButterfly
Social media aspect is what I like most because it’s soooo popular and we can use to attract people who need it and won’t because of stigmas attached with mental health.
The marketing assistant role sounds great. Graphic designs and videos are perfect for sending messages about mental health. I think there's isn't enough content online to educate people about mental health. However with the power of spreading this content it's easier to reach people even others who aren't part of the 7 Cups community.

Good points
@SoulfullyAButterfly. I am mostly interested in the social media ~ marketing side of things at 7 Cups. I like the idea of learning/creating graphics and short posts that help spread awareness about mental health and let people know about the support that’s available. For many, mental health topics can be hard to talk about and feel overwhelming. I believe it is important to create content that’s easy to understand, welcoming as well as a bit inspiring to grab the attention of people. I’m excited about the opportunity to help plan events and create videos/.content. It is a great way to connect with people and get them involved in the community. Social media is a powerful tool for reaching people who need help but aren’t sure where to start ~ I would love to be part of that effort.

Looking forward to your contribution
@loveagape
That’s a fantastic area of focus. It lets you blend current, credible research with practical guidance, which is precisely what readers look for when they want trustworthy mental health information. An Expert Mental Health News & Advice section can also showcase E-A-T (Expertise, Authority, Trustworthiness), making your work stand out.
@SoulfullyAButterfly I liked the marketing role before. Now I'm interested in the Q&A Page and all other content needs because I love reading and studying in both national and international contexts, so I think I'd be better suited for content, not graphic design.
