Feelings are made of glass
Once broken
You spend your lifetime mending it
But it will never be the same
Feelings are like raindrops
Once it pours down
Everyone sees them and feels them
But only a few loves them
Feelings are what give life
Once you lose them
There can be blood, birth and death all around
But there'd be nothing but an icy cold breeze inside you
@Clarisse29
It's said that feelings are made of glass...
Kind of?
They can be sharp and beautiful... and when they do shatter...
It's dangerous to keep moving in their direction, lest you cut yourself on their remnants.
But others, I cannot break, no matter what kind of pressure I apply.
In fact, I break my thoughts against them.
Hard thoughts break against them too, and it can be helpful if those thoughts need to be opened up.
But maybe I'm thinking the wrong kind of glass.
Maybe they're like glasses you would wear, and that would be more consistent.
They alter what you see, and sometimes cut out some of the truth shining through.
Or maybe like wine glasses.
You can drink your fill of them, and sometimes it can make you feel good.
But sometimes when they spill over, something is bound to stain.
And one can definitely overdo it and become intoxicated on them.
But one thing I'm definitely glad for is that I'm made up of more than feelings.
If I were just feelings then I myself would be made of glass.
And without them entirely, I'd lose my edges and become dull

Feeling connected gives us a sense of belonging, and that feeling has now swept over Pixz for the first time. Her eyes were wide and unblinking as she watched the drama unfold in front of her with fascination. She was stunned by what she saw. They are more like her. She felt understood.
His face was red, eyes glared at nothing in particular, and he punched the wall as he stepped out of the room, making her jump in surprise. The tears that shimmered in her eyes, finally rolled down her cheeks. When she lay on her side on the bed, the tears didn't stop.
He’s going to leave me, the woman thought.
What will I do without him?
I deserve better than this.
I hate him.
I love him.
I have to end this.
Maybe he's right.
Maybe it’s me.
It hurts.
He broke my heart.
Pixz pulled herself out of the woman's head, she felt nauseous. She turned to the other widescreen where the man sitting on the porch, with eyes shut, looked tired and defeated.
Damn it. I hurt her again.
I made her cry again.
But she's so irritating.
It's overwhelming.
I need to clear my head. With those thoughts in mind, he walked to the driveways, hopped in his car and sped away from the house.
Pixz tried to grasp the notion that, like her, there are people, whoever they may be, who also have extraneous feelings. Her father described such traits as emotional.
With a 5' 11" and slim figure, she never saw anyone as short and as tiny as her in Axergion, let alone shorter. However, that woman was, and the man was a bit taller, but way shorter than any man here. They look very similar to Axergions, only smaller. She turned to look at her father, who was sitting watching her quietly this whole time.
"Who are they, Govere?", she asked her father. Pixz had stopped calling him dad since she was four. Nobody calls their fathers dad. He remained quiet for some time before he rose to his full 12' 4" height and went to watch people on the beautiful blue planet.
"Human.", he said shortly.
"They are small.", Pixz stated.
"Yes."
"They are emotional."
"Yes."
"Why, Govere? Why are they so emotional?" Pixz felt the lump in her throat for reasons she didn't understand.
"Because their feelings are made of glass.", her father turned to face his daughter.
"They are weak.", she confirmed her self-belief as she tried to hold back the tears. She never wants to be weak.
"On the contrary, my child, it made them the strongest, most enchanting creatures.", his eyes softened before he continued, "They are your mother's people."

What If?
They are standing in the middle of the room, in their castle made of clouds
a safe space, a place for dreamers, and around them there is nothing but the brittle
mirrors, showing someone they don't know, looking back at their reflection
that seems so strange and unfamiliar, it feels like they only know a fraction
of that person staring back at them, they look so small, so little
like they would break, just like a mirror falling on the ground, if they are facing the tiniest doubts
If only the thoughts in their head would shut up, go quiet
that is the only wish they have, if they stopped telling them that they are worthless
it would be a start, because they want to live, but for real, just this once
they want to think like all the others, be able to sing, to dance
but how would that be possible when they are such a mess
not deserving of anything, so the thoughts keep them imprisoned, and start over their riot
In their castle, where they used to dream, they are starting to feel caught
by all those overwhelming feelings, anger, sadness, fear
but what if it doesn't have to be like that, what if all this time the feelings were wrong?
what if they are just as fragile as them, and using them to feel like they don't belong?
maybe in all this time those emotions were made out of glass, they think, and a single tear
falls to the floor, and everything around them is crashing down, "Maybe those feelings are breakable, but I'm not" is their only remaining thought

@EnbyBubble so beautiful bubble! loved reading every line!
@Clarisse29
Thank you Clarisse, that means a lot
Feelings are made of glass. They are fragile. They are transparent. When these feelings break and are put back together, the glass is cracked and hard to see through. Cracks in the glass, as they increase, begin to blind you until you can't see more than a few feet ahead of you. Find yourself a glass blower. They can take the broken pieces and make something beautiful.
@Clarisse29
Feelings are like glass
So clear when cleaned of it's flaws
Often cracked by hurtful words
Sometimes shattered by insecurities
Feelings are like glass
Colorful when stained
Placed in such an order
So the light can shine through
Creating a beautiful symphony of color
Feelings are like glass
Never given a chance to be heard
Sometimes being second guessed
Sometimes doubted and never seen
Longing to be seen and heard not just by society
But by the world itself
@AngelOfKindness loved how you owned the prompt! thanks for sharing such a beautiful piece with us!
@Clarisse29 thank you ☺️ I’m glad I touched a few hearts
Feelings feelings - delicate and brittle
Trampled upon, stomped upon -always belittled
Have some purpose,
Fight for a cause
Who cares about feelings?
Don't live in a Foo Foo world
Be strong not so fragile
Stop being a sensitive touch me not plant
Stop constantly saying I can't or I shan't
Stop being such a baby !Stop acting like a child!
You have to pay the consequences for being so wild!
Are you actually over 18?
Face up to what you did or didn't.
Feelings feelings made of glass
Broken or shattered - this too shall pass!
Some make you feel good and lift up your mood
Some make you feel bad and leave you very sad
Some annoy you outright and leave you full of spite.
The only thing common to the whole of humanity
Is your ability to feel for another,to have empathy.
There upon the highest shelf
In a box made of beech
that's where we keep them all
just barely out of reach.
Each one is special
and every one unique
Color coded so we might find
the feelings that we seek
Each one's made of glass
Please handle them with care
If you look close enough
You'll see cracks here and there
Those are from the times
we were dumb enough to share.
To say how we were feeling
wasn't very fair
They said we simply had no right
to feel what we were feeling
So now they're tucked up in this box
Safely out of sight close up to the ceiling

@Clarisse29,
People get lost in glass fragility, ignoring everything else.
But, oh, turn to its origins: Heat ordinary sand, a humble material, and let it reach cosmic temperatures.
It will be born by the flame of a space shuttle that re-enters Earth.
And like a phoenix, every time it turns incandescent, it will breathe new life. So feel free to break it and create. Over and over again.
The glass will do as you wish. It'll become the shape you desire, the colours you decide for it.
And for that, don't fret: there's no shame in not having mastered it yet. You'll learn.
People get lost in the fragility of feelings, ignoring everything else.
Yes, when broken, just like glass, they cut. Feelings will take on threatening shapes if you will.
But they will also be delicate or lasting, for they are malleable.
So, learn how to handle them, and they will protect you from the poison that fogs your mind.
They will be the reflection of a peaceful landscape during your journey.
And for that, don't fret: there's no shame in not having mastered it yet. You'll learn.
