The time i was done with my secondary school. I was an average student... And such students are not acknowledged much by good colleges as they dont see the brain or knowledge.. they see the marks ... Marks that have the right to label you as an excellent student or a poor dumb student. I didnt get the marks to get into the 'best' college. I didn't get anywhere ... My name didnt come up in any of the merit lists .. and i was freaking scared ... My parents were worried... And we aren't that rich to pay for donations... Finally we got a college... Mother and i planned to go and check it out ... When we got there..... We both were dumbfounded .... It can't even be called a college.... It wasn't even a building to start with... And the crowd😖 .... I had lost all hope ... But my mom didn't ... She then went to a few colleges physically ... I tagged along too... And after the 2 weeks struggle... I finally got a good college.. good enough to study ... I still remember that day ... My mom had begged the principle to give me admission ... That day onwards i understood how important marks are.. and that only i can gain it for myself and no body else... And as i chose the stream of my liking .. i started studying... I never ever wanna go back to a day like that .. and i hope no one ever does...

I believe that marks/grades aren't everything, and it's such a shame that students are judged that way. I suppose it is reality, though. Good on you for coming so far, for digging deep with studying, and for not giving up. 😊

I want to be tagged in writing threads
I was married suddenly one day and it was the most emotional day I thought of my whole life at the time. Then I got a phone call that my uncle who was the second man in my life to stay and be there consistently was suddenly dead. I thought I wouldn't make it through that day, that week. I'm divorced, I'm the only child of my mother who is deceased, and I had a miscarriage, and my own family locked the door on me. I thought I wouldn't be here today, and many moments of any day I don't want to be here, breathing, but I am making it through. I have life in me and I have work to do. Someone needs to know it won't always hurt.
[major cw, this is about the worst of depression]
The weight of life was heavy
On my shoulders, on my mind
I'd let it just consume me
I'd leave my world behind.
I held the thing in my hands
Balanced it with tears
I cried out all my sadness,
I carved out all my fears.
I can still feel the cold metal
Pressed against my throat
Still feel the utter hopelessness
Of steering a sinking boat
I thought of how they'd feel
Laying eyes upon my scene
Their child that they thought they knew
Barely turned thirteen.
I hated them, I hated him
I smiled at the thought
He'd pay for what he's done
When he smells the bloody rot
But I couldn't plunge it in, I couldn't pull through
"Just think of all the people who really care for you."
My mother weeping, sister shattered
Friends astonished, family battered
My lover, he would surely follow me into the dark.
I placed it on the ground, their faces in my mind
This wouldn't be the last time, as I would surely find
But every time I sink again
Pill bottles and streetlights
I remember all the love I have
And choose to stay and fight.
For them.
Awesome 👌 I could feel all your emotions. Please remember you're cherished and you do matter. Don't go down that lane of self harm.

Thank you, I'm trying <3
@CupoSad076
Wonderful Cupo.
I'm Helga, 69 year old woman from Norway. I was so sad to see your poem. You should not be a teenager and being so sad as this. I hope you get good quality of help. Guess what! I have exactly the same heart as you have at your site on my bedroomwall. It represents for me the burning heart of love that God/Jesus Christ has for us.
I hope that you're life will be much better.
May I give you a Bibleverse I got today: Romans 15.13 : "May the God of all hope fill you with joy and peace." I was a teenager when I started to read the Bible myself.
@Helgafy
Thank you, seeing this meant a whole lot to me <3
@Clarisse29
A few years ago I had a terrible work situation at the hands of a dictatorial head of the institution.
She was a mighty vindictive person and made our lives miserable. Then one day I prayed to the Lord like i hadn't ever earlier. The cry from my heart was, " Oh God rid me of this horrible situation and gift me what I deserve " , after that day the tide turned for the better and I was totally out of her atrocious behavior.
I never imagined the situation would change so miraculously and I could breathe so easily.
@RideaRainbow'
Hi.
How nice is that! I have started to expect God/Jesus Christ to answer now, not only pray and "see what happens".
(TW)
I looked down at the metal
thinking I'd soon be free.
I'd finally rid myself
of all they couldn't see.
I saw the blood
dripping down my arms,
ignoring my nerves,
ignoring those internal alarms.
All of a sudden
for some reason I smiled,
because I am broken
although I'm only a child.
And then on my cheek
rolled down a single tear,
embodying my dread,
representing my fear.

Anna.
This is so sad to read. Please seek for help. This is not the life you're supposed to have. You're a star among all the other stars at the heaven.
With great love from Helga.
@Helgafy
Thank you very much. I have recently been trying to overcome this recently with the help of my parents and therapist.
