Tbh, the main thing I'm happy I didn't give up on is 7 Cups. Not letting my social anxiety keep me from participating and contributing to such a rewarding and warm community. From the academy programs to the leadership roles, or just light hearted chat with peers, every part of 7 cups has helped me improve myself or parts of my life 💙
@SirenOfSerenity
Yes, me too!
Am so happy you did Siren because you are an asset to 7cups.
Wish you all the best 👍
@Clarisse29
I'm so glad I didn't give up on 7 Cups; after people being unsupportive of my choices. I've dedicated my life to 7 cups. Me helping someone helps me feel belonging, worthy and has helped my mental health in so many different ways! Thank you so much 7 cups. And...errr happy late birthday! ❤️
I'm tagging @sunisshiningandsoareyou because I think they will really like this post.

I'm glad I didn't give up on myself and life. I felt like ending my life many times and the feeling is still there. I know I won't act onit. There may be no happiness yet, or even satisfaction (plenty of frustration), but I think and feel that continuing with my therapy and other forms of progress, I can eventually find something good and feel like I have accomplished something. I have silly, unrealistic dreams, still, and that's something else I need to work on. I need to find some realistic goals.
In similar waters. Thought of ending it today (no plans just thoughts). Called a helpline and went for ice cream and an adventure. Then did skin care, lit candles and burned sage. Tidied up a bit too, read and played games on my phone. Hit a recovery meeting and tried out TikTok and other new apps. Feel a bit more comfortable now. It was interesting seeing how dramatic my life still is in my 30’s; I had somehow been brainwashed perhaps to think all that ends in high school. Nope! What a disciplinary wet slap that is, and motivation to keep going and learning and growing so one day all that and this could be a faded and even fond memory. Through the crushing bowels of life we go. Ew weird analogy. 🤗
@WharfRat
Pushed through high school (nearly dropped out for my safety) and pushed through higher education.
Woooaaahhh 3 cheers for you...
@Clarisse29
I'm glad that I never gave up on you,
Even though I wondered if the rumor was true.
The rumor can't be truer than friendship.
They don't know you like me,
I know there's so much more,
So please feel free.
I only want to be invited in the truth,
So tell me what it really is,
Even if it's how they say and worse,
It's none of their business.
I could never be one,
To judge having heard one side.
So I'm shutting them off for now,
You've got nothing to hide...
...At least not from me.
...and then, finally, all said and done...
I was just going through some of the longest hours,
Just to find out I was right all along.
If I'd have had to judge you to help you,
I wouldn't have been the friend you needed,
I wouldn't have belonged.

Write about something you're glad you didn't give up on.
Im glad i didn't give up on myself. What i mean by that is giving up on my determination to do better moving forward. Growing up i always had trouble staying with one thing and then giving up or quitting because of boredom or frustration or loss of interest. I am happy I have put in the work I have needed to succeed in all my dreams and goals. Even though I might not have got there yet and may not get there tomorrow or the next day, I know i am making progress. If i would have given up on myself, i would not have had the job i got today as a peer specialist, I would have never found so much thrill and love and compassion through 7 cups, Learning and growing with the academy programs. Without 7 cups I am not sure that i would have made it this far. I know it sounds strange, but 7 cups have given motivation to do better and act better<3 I am so grateful for all the friendships i have made here, also without them i wouldn't have had the encouragement i don't get on the outside of the computer<3
thank you for sharing this question. I enjoyed it very much, a little eye opener of course:)
@Clarisse29
I'm glad I didn't give up on learning English.
I mean, that's kind of the reason why I'm able to communicate with you right now! I got to read so many things I liked, even write some myself. Ah, so many other things. I truly enjoy it.
And it's also one of the few things I haven't given up on from my childhood. Bye-bye piano, tennis, swimming lessons. They departed with enough criticism. But English? No one can hold it against me, it will always hold a special place in my heart.
Oh wow, thank you for your post!!
I did not give up on
1) meditation
2) yoga
super grateful that I did that and proud of my efforts too!
Something I didn't give up on...
AhhhAaa there are several things which come to mind but what really made a huge difference was holding on to my positivity and never giving up on it through thick and thin, through storm and thunder.
There were umpteen times when close ones wrecked my soul by their rude, mean, insulting behavior. So often I was misunderstood, misjudged and accused of wrong doing. I shed a million tears, it broke my heart but in no time I would scoop myself up and bounce back like a phoenix.
Today my positivity is my rock solid shield, reinforced by my consistent and persistent spiritual practices and I have to share now my Mantra is, ' TRY ME'...
Nothing can rock the ship of my Positive Attitude!!!
