The northern lights are one of favorite natural miracles. They are literally fascinating and breath-taking. Personally,I haven't seen them ,yet. Seeing them in real life and feeling their atmosphere is a dream that I had carried with me since my childhood and will do my best to achieve it one day Insha'Allah 💚

I used to live above the 60th, aurora is actually different colour's the one that are green and purple are known as STEVE I forget what it stands for.

I adore the aurora borealis but have never been fortunate enough to see them. Despite living fairly in the North. My mum growing up in the countryside would witness the phenomenon regularly.
I also adore the moon and her phases are much easier to catch, watch and enjoy.

@Ladyavalon I am passionate of the moon as well 🌚. It is called القمر in Arabic. "Al kamar" . My favourite is the crescent moon 🌙

I have a question ⁉️ ⁉️ 🧐
Uhmmm how long does it take to see the aurora??? I know it depends on polar nights, weather, the region, and also the activity of the solar system.... But is it possible that you don't see it in months or in years?? Or it appears at least few times in a month during winter ?
@AReineRose I definitely don't see them every month but while Northern, I don't live super far North and am in a major city, so light pollution factors in. Plus sometimes they appear at 2 am, I'm not out looking every time there's an alert they may appear.
Here, in the winter I think it's likely to easily go a full winter month where they aren't visible even if out looking every night. Depends on the year. If further North than the Arctic Circle, I'm not sure but considering the popularity you can likely find articles.

I see the aurora every year up at our family lodge! We don't get crazy lights like they do way far up north, but you can definitely see the purples and blues in the sky :)
