I just stumbled across this forum. A great idea, eh?!
I see that some have already set up sections for different areas, so thought I would for Ontario (I used to live in BC and love that pretty awesomely but well here in Ontario now).
Maybe people are interested in posting like on events they think people might be interested in, organizations suited to helping in this area, or just things people really like.
Does anyone have ideas on good safe ways to meet people online if you are new to an area, or just in general?
Anyway, this is a tiny start.

@CanadianEmma, there's one site that a counselor recommended to me: https://www.meetup.com/cities/ca/on/. I haven't tried it, but some of the events in my city looked pretty cool!

Oooo look at all these Ontario folks. I also used to live in BC and now find myself in the midst of Southern Ontario, just outside of Toronto.
hello all, im in ontario,border city, i suppose to meet someone new always do it in a public place, like a timmies are your favirite bar where bar or staff know you., if your mobile like most folks are, maye do chat from and internet cafe etc and dont forget to set your security optiosn appropietly when you do. dont be scared to meet people but be safe in doing so, use goolge seach maybe type in how to meet people safely online.

That's so nice! Do you live somewhere quiet? It's been awhile since I've been back to ON.
@Lee I live in Barrie, not sure how familiar you are with that city. It was a pretty small, quiet city about 10-15 or so years ago but has since grown quite a bit. It's not as quiet as it used to be, but parts of it are nicer than they were. Toronto's much bigger and louder (though much more exciting!).
