After reflecting on our 2022 year HERE, it's important to look forward to next year and create goals for yourself.

Goals come in so many ways; some big, and others really small! We all have our own personal goals, so together, let's create some SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-bound) goals for this upcoming year and have something to look forward to working on.

CLICK HERE for some more information on how to create smart goals!

Feel free to share below: What are some goals you have for your 2023 year?

Ooh yes, goals. I typically like to not fuss too much about these things, and 2022 did instill the "take it one moment at a time" reminder for me so often, so I'm unsure about any long term goals in general.

However to answer this one, A better sleep schedule for sure haha, some personal development, and to just be better~ physically, emotionally, mentally~ overall! ❤

How about youuu? 🤗

Ooh yeahhh, I forgot about goals! I try not to set *unrealistic* goals but the ones I’ve set this year I think are possible!

So, my goals for 2023 are: get the ADHD assessment done and get diagnosed, have mental health support and start healing from my childhood trauma and grief ❤️

What about you Emma? (:

Here are examples.

Achievable: Brushing my teeth.

Unachievable: Retire with enough money to live comfortably for my few remaining years.

Well you do have achievable goals then. If you set the goals small rather than worrying about the long term stuff it helps. You can't predict the future anyway. You can think in terms of things that will make you happier short term. That in and of itself is a good goal for the new year. @Gettingbettertoday

I was actually being serious. Thinking long term can make all of miserable and feel like we won't accomplish anything. @Gettingbettertoday

My goal is to listen more to other people's stories and focus less on my own. @EmmaE

I want to continue doing the same things as I'm doing now but with greater enthusiasm. I want to be more engaged in my activities and find them truly enjoyable and inspiring.

@EmmaE

In the new year I want to complete some of the courses I'm taking, and/or advance in my learning progress. I have 2 card courses I want to complete. One is over 80% done, the other is about half I think. Then I want to finish the new online program I just started.

Other than that I want to use my elliptical more regularly at home and get to the gym a minimum of 3 times a week, but go for 5. I want to see if I can get down to 170lbs or lower by my 70th birthday this year. (Got about 50 lbs to go). Should be doable if I stick with it.

I want to pick up my guitar and play it more regularly. Maybe learn a few songs by my birthday.

I want to really dig into making my own designs. If I do, I could actually start making a little extra money. So... gotta do this! I need a new laptop... just blew out my display and have to use the TV as a monitor now... so I have this to motivate me now...lol.

I want to work on my family relationships, be more patient and loving... get through my grieving process so I don't have any more collateral damage.

Continue my personal spiritual journey.

My goals for 2023

I want to get back on track with my workouts. I lost 80 pounds about 18 years ago and this last year my depression made me gain 25 pounds back.

I also want to find a job with the hospitals that is not from home. My social anxiety is getting very bad since I've worked from home for the last 6 years.

I plan to marry the first man that has never abused me !

My goals are simple. Take healing seriously this time and finally heal and better myself.
