@jesusredeemedme2425 I learnt how to read and write as a kid, but everything else in there past 5 years. So my thoughts are everyone should go to a different kind of school, (only school because of being sociable and having friends) but I think schools should only have 20 students at the most, with one teacher the whole way through school, and kids should be taught the basics and then be taken to experience the world, like learning how to drive, forage for food, lend a hand on a farm, enter competitions. And learn in a more updated and fun way 💖

@jesusredeemedme2425 i think the first step is for the schools to stop pushing propaganda on kids. Second of all, they should actually start to teach and focus on learning and developing the kids abilities, with little homework.

I think after year 4 when you are done with the basics, kids should be separated into two classes. One focusing on subjects like biology, chemistry, history, geography, etc. And the other focusing on math, physics, It, etc. With both groups having literature and foreign languages and focus primarily on their chosen area of subjects, while keeping the rest of the subjects to basic common knowledge without any unnecessary deep dives. Obviously, first aid and basic health care should be taught. So by the time kiddos graduate, they should be able to treat basic wounds, give cpr flawlessly, know the signs of most common or dangerous illnesses, like how to spot a blood poisoning, and understand basic nutrition and home remedies.

In the later teens, basic adulting should be taught too, and students should be encouraged to learn how to do various tasks most of us dread like filing taxes.

@jesusredeemedme2425 public or private school, depending on the country. Id say homeschool if it werent for all the messed up parents out there. For kids in such a situation, school could be a way out. Plus, imo kids need company their age, as long as theres supervision to prevent bullying

I believe every kid learns differently and it's different for every kid. We tried to homeschool our youngest who has autism. We were able to homeschool the others, but our youngest could not do it!

I think zoos are inhumane to animals. Not because they’re mistreated, but because they’re trapped in a small area, and their lives and living spaces don’t remotely match their native lands.

I do, however, understand the other side: Kids need to learn about the world, and zoos are working toward animal conservation and repopulation of rare animal species.

@Tinywhisper11 I think zoo can be a okay for small animals only If they are kept in good care, safe and suitable environment.

But for wild ones they're too small... And they don't get to live their life in nature, and sometimes even get hurt just bcus of our entertainment.

Instead of trapping them in zoo, national parks would be better option... For their safety also people can enjoy visiting those instead. 🤍

Zoos do a lot for animal well-being, both inside and outside the zoo. They're problematic in some ways, but I agree that it's important to have them.

@Tinywhisper11 i love zoos. The thing is, the animals in there were already born in captivity, and couldn´t survive in the wild on their own, as they never had to. It´s also a great way for us to learn about them and observe them a little. However, it is important for the animals to have a proper living space that is big enough for them to be comfy, provide them with all they need  both in terms of habitat and entertainment. And for the visitors respecting that the animals shouldn´t be disturbed by tapping on the glass or other not nice things and should be observed with love and interest

@Tinywhisper11 I don't think no one is born evil. Sure, we were all born with sin... but being born evil is something different. We're all babies when we are born and babies are pure and beautiful in every way. There's no such thing as an evil baby, imo. But as that baby grows and is exposed to the world and influenced by people around them then parts of them can turn dark. But then again, everyone of us living has potential for good and evil. 

@Tinywhisper11 i think it´s complicated. We absolutely get born with a lot of pre-set personality traits, that can be better or worse. Also, psychopathy is often something that people are born with. However, these alone won´t make someone bad. A lot depends on how the child grows up, how it´s treated, how is it´s mental health etc. There is in fact a lot of psychopaths who don´t become evil at all, and in fact go into careers where their condition is working in their favour, like for example surgeons, soldiers etc, since they take a challenge and don´t crack under pressure. Just do what they need to to achieve the goal, what makes them awesome in what they do. So I think, as much as we have some predispositions, most of the evil is acquired in life.

@Tinywhisper11 i think every one has a tendency to lean towards whats forbidden, sort of? And power is very...harmful to ones resolve to not do whats forbidden. Its willpower i guess- in allowing yourself to chase after power at any cost, you demonstrate how little will power you have to stop yourself. so everyone has a little evil in them, what matters is how strong they are in dealing with that tendency. I mean it makes sense to me because theres different cultures, traditions, entire ways of livings- why wouldnt the beauty standards be different, too, right? thats all i ever thought about it xd

@jesusredeemedme2425 They are influenced by what the society needs, values, believes and lacks.

The beauty of what we don´t have or is rare:

For example, in ancient rome, blond hair was not common at all. So once they saw foreigners with light hair, they started seeking out ways to look like that too, since it was exotic and uncommon for them. Same for example with my boyfriend. He has naturally blond hair and blue eyes, so blond hair or blue eyes never really interested him. He was however always intrigued by darker eye and hair colour. (Same is true for a lot of opposite cases of people with darker hair and eyes finding light hair colour and eyes very captivating), or the straight hair girls wanting curly hair and the girls with natural curls wishing they had straight hair. If something is uncommon enough (like the blond hair for the romans), it will be desired by a big enough chunk of people to become a cultural standard of beauty.

Avaibility of food and display of status:

This ties into the previous point about scarcity. In times or places where people have to be self reliant and your next meal is not a guarantee, being of the fuller body type with higher fat percentage shows that hey i eat well, i´m healthy and happy, i can afford it. Skinny bodies are associated with hunger and lack of food. Same with resistance to illness, a more massive body with bigger reserves will be more likely to handle sickness, cold and physical labour. A well rounded woman is a sign of more likely fertility and safer birth and pregnancy thanks to proper nutrition and a well fed man is a sign you will not starve with him and he will take care of you and the future family well. However in society and time when we don´t have to fight for our food every day, grow it and be self reliant down to the grain, thinner body type is the sign of look I have the time and money to get myself healthy and balanced food, go to the gym, and attend a yoga class twice a week, instead of getting mcdonalds and rotting exhausted in front of the tv.

Spiritual believes:

some cultures have a unique religion or spiritual belives, that make them consider some traits that maybe we wouldn´t really find too attractive a sign of the gods, or good fortune, therefore making the person of the look highly respected and valued, making the traits desirable for others too.

@unassumingEyes universities should be free of charge. Here, you have 5 years of free education in uni. You can use them as you wish. But if it happens that for example you went to a uni for 3 years and left it, then go study something else, you will have to pay for 3 years out of the 5. So basically you have 5 years of free uni studies per person, what is a very fair and reasonable setup

Men are creepy no matter what age you are, but the US has strict s****l harassment laws. You can report people for it.

I think as much as the concept is intriguing, I don't think it aligns with the Christian view of things, since as human beings with a body and soul, the wholeness of it is often emphasised. I don't recall any mention of such realities in these contexts (maybe someone will have a few quotes on it who is diving deeper into this) But a lot of NZ understanding on big existential questions come from the Bible and my faith. I'm not aware of it supporting an alternative reality existing, therefore, I'm voting no on this

This is one thing that has been confusing me for a long time… I don’t have answers. The Bible doesn’t mention it, but then it doesn’t mention everything. So the jury’s out for me.

@Tinywhisper11 i think its possible. I wouldnt say yes or no to that xD and i dont think religion makes it impossible. Religion (monotheistic- that i know of) speaks of our world and another (the hereafter) but never explicity states that thats it. There might be more. It does bring into question whether heaven etc would also exist as multiple versions in different dimensions, or as one sort of supreme world above all others (and if so, how wld all versions of us be there at the same time?)

In other words...dont think about it 😂
