Thick freshly made pancakes are lovely, we all used to fight over who got to lick the spoon/bowl. I didn't really experiment with toppings, maple syrup and lemon juice was so good, I stuck to it.
I know people put butter on theirs, that is crazy to me :) Enjoy your sugary banquet :)

Honestly, it depends!
At home, I'm typically more plain; I keep it simple with some maple syrup. But I love going to breakfast restaurants and trying out different types of pancakes! For example, I had these pancakes that had blueberries on top and this kind of lemon-cream cheese icing, which was delicious!
