How can one choose a favoured line?
Or rank a stanza o'er another?
When each can reach a taste sublime,
That causes hearts and spines to shudder.
Their words exploding into bloom,
Subtlest petals form the flower.
In pastel joy or neon gloom,
Intoxicating fragrant power.
For in that garden, who could say
Which of those dreams the greater must be?
Like winds and seasons, night and day,
Their resonance morphing endlessly.

It is my pleasure.
I find it impossible to declare for a favourite poem, as (like my choices in music) it can change from day to day depending on which way my mind and heart are pulling at the time. Saying that however, there are some poets and poems that consistently appeal to my sensibilities;
Lewis Carol, Spike Milligan, William Blake, AzurePond, to name but a few.
Speaking of music, I also think that frequently there are artists whose lyrics are very deserving of being considered poetry in their own right, and that the musical score just enhances such poetry to an even greater eloquence.
For myself, I am always enthralled by those who have a creative and imaginative use of language (and am certainly pleasantly envious of those who have such talent as it is a quality I admire and wish I had). But poems are a deeply personal thing I think, and sometimes clever wordplay can be outshone by raw emotion. As such I can't say I really subscribe to any idea of there being a better or worse poem or poet....what sings to your soul at any particular moment is the best poem in the world right then and there, whether that be till the end of time or a few fleeting transcendent seconds.
But like anything I ever say, it's all been formed from those squishy half-baked thoughts and whims that gibber around inside my bone-box and run wildly and uncontrollably out into the wide world before dissolving back into indistinct fluff once more. So feel free to pay them no mind...I never do. *Smiles*

I completely understand what you mean.
At any given moment a poem can take on several different meanings.
And speak to us more.
Sometimes vulnerability within a poem resonates more and hammers the message home quicker.
Sometimes rhyme can be fun and give energy.
Sometimes we need fun.
Someone's poignancy.
Sometimes imaginative transportation through the ages.
Sometimes simply an ode to being.
Culture.
Creativity.
Poetry encapsulates it all 🩵🤗

I wrote this a while back when I was in a deep hole and lost. 😢🥺 It still hurts me to read it but I am in a far better place today and I have you to thank for that. ☺️🤗
She’s no longer part of my everyday, but she’s still part of my story. I don’t reach out, not because I don’t care, but because I do. I’ve learned that love sometimes means stepping back—not to forget, but to protect what was good. Her presence lives in the way I think, the way I remember, the way I carry myself. It’s quieter now, but no less real.

It speaks abt lot n also about loneliness.... It’s the kind of loneliness where even when people say I understand or I’m here, it never reaches you. You stay untouched by it.... unseen, unheld like there’s a distance no one can cross.You start to feel like a weight instead of a person, like your presence only burdens, never belongs. Love feels out of reach, peace feels unfamiliar

She wore her scars like night beneath her skin,
Where silent wars had always lived within.
The dark had touched her more than it should,
Left quiet wounds no one ever understood.
It gave her distance, taught her to fear,
Turned every closeness unclear, insincere.
Yet in her chest, where the shadows grew,
She held every soul she ever knew.
No rage she kept, no burning spite,
Though she had walked through endless night.
She chose a love that stayed so still,
Soft as sorrow, yet stronger than will.
She carried hearts that let her fall,
still made a place inside for all.
A gentle soul the dark once knew
Full of love… though it never grew through.
It’s about a girl (uhm, maybe me 😅) whose heart never learned how to stop loving, no matter how much it was hurt... even after everything, she doesn’t turn cold she just keeps holding more, feeling more, loving more 😊❤️
She carries ppls inside her, not b'cus they deserve it, but b'cus that’s who she is ❤️ like It’s not strength in the usual way, it’s a heart so full of love that it chooses to stay soft, even when it aches 😊

🕊God Our Father🙏
God had the Bible written
For all His children to read.
And in doing so,
He hoped to plant a seed.
Seeds of reflection and of wisdom
That His children would be able to use
When feeling lost or in doubt,
Scared, angry, or confused.
A great big book of knowledge
Within all of it, the answers
To guide them through their lives,
Protecting, from soul rotting cancers.
He hoped that they would listen
Take heed in His advice
That the ways of this new world
Would not so easily entice.
God the Father was the first
To learn how stubborn a child can be,
They would make their OWN decisions
Live life on the edge, and so carelessly!
So, the Father took up a seat, and
He just watched His children play
Though tempted to speak up
Instead He taught them how to pray.
He learned that actions speak louder than words
He let them make wrong choices, fall apart
Even though it hurt Him deeply
Though it might even break HIS heart.
But as he watched He soon saw
His children were resounding!
Mistakes were made, and tears were shed
But sooner or later, they were Bounding!
God cheered and clapped, He was so proud
To see His children's great resilience!
He shone the sun brighter that day
In honor of their brilliance!
So when you're feeling all alone
Know He's not far away,
He is watching over you constantly
Every moment, of every day.
And it's because HE LOVES YOU so much,
That He allows you to live your life,
Even if He knows it is causing you
Great pain, heartache, and strife.
He chose to let us all go free,
To let us make our own choices
To stand firm in our beliefs and values
To boldly use our voices.
He, our Heavenly Father
Our Creator in heaven above
Has taught us that if there is no grief
