Hi, I am a Woman turning 28 soon, and I get anxious because here people think woman aged beyond 27 are in the Older & Not very attractive for Dating category. I was wondering whether it is good to start build a profile on dating app or start looking on these last days before turning 28. On one hand I feel am at a critical point for myself to grow and learn and transform as a human. On the other hand am very much heavily pressured by this social clock thing of 27 turning 28. Please share Ur thoughts & advice🙏

Don't worry about what other people think.

Regardless.

You are young and they don't decide your beauty, your worth or your timeline

Funny they only do this to women and not men.

You need to decide the type of person you want to meet first.

You deserve happiness.

Online is not authentic.

Truthful.

And only based on sex and what you can offer someone.

It might help to join a group where you can meet men in a natural and less pressurized environment 💚

You matter not what other people say or think 💚

Thank U so Much Amanda, I Felt Pressured because the Dating Market here pushes woman to look very good and be obedient & always high standard & Marry younger and Gives Male too Much Power in this Respect. I briefly looked at the local dating apps here mostly woman’s pictures r heavily photoshopped & edited in a way to be “socially acceptable.”

As a woman I don’t want to be defined by how they see me and label me. But again, people’s bias & stereotypical way of Evaluating Woman don’t change for y. It is better for me to follow what I think works for me or is right or good for me at this time. It is a tough decision, but I will see what I can do🙏

Yes, follow what's right for you but never let a man decide your worth, you are equal 💚

@niceKitten2066 first of all  I really want you to know that you're not too old! never!! you can date still whatever you are 30 or 40, there is no age to date and to be loved and to feel loved by someone 💌💚 you just didn't meet the right person yet! And it's ok! Take your time, there's no such thing as too late to feel loved 💜 online dating isn't serious most of the time, men will not see your worth isn't defined by your age! Choose wisely and don't feel pressured to sprint to a mistake! Rather walk to certainty 😊

I’m going on forty, and I’d still use an app if I were dating. You can never be too old to find someone. Twenty eight isn’t even old 😆

I’m 45 and still single. That social clock has never worked on me. It wasn’t meant to happen. Life moved on and had my focus on work. It was my escape from reality.

You are in a good age to think about it but please don’t be pressured by society. As long as you believe you are ready then hopefully it will happen. With regards to your career growth, I don’t think it will effect it. Women can multitask. Says me :) I wish you all the best love.

I’m sorry I have no recommendations about dating apps but it would be realistic to meet up people in gatherings or events.

Good luck :)

Hi I would just like to start off by saying that 28 is still so young! There is a stereotype that women of a "certain age" are too old for dating, but I think it's becoming more and more common for women to hold off on dating, whether it's because they haven't met anyone or they are just putting themselves first!

I think if you're interested in dating apps, you should go ahead and try them out. You could ask some friends or post in this thread to find out which apps women have felt more comfortable on and have had more success with!

Dating can be so overwhelming and terrifying, but I read somewhere that through the dating process, as long as you stay grounded to who you are without a partner, no matter the outcome with any potential love interests, you'll be okay! For example, the post I saw was talking about in situations of dating where you spend all your time thinking about what the other person is doing, thinking, if they're seeing someone else, if they actually like you, etc. it can help to have a playlist of songs that remind you of who you are without a partner to help keep you focused on what truly matters, which is you!

I hope this was helpful, and thanks for sharing!!! Take care.

@niceKitten2066 28 is considered old? Wow! I wonder where all these stereotypes come from.

I must say that in the 21st century, everything is possible. You can be 21, married, and still not be happy. You can be 50, single, and completely happy.

I have two distant relatives who got married after 40, and those turned out to be the best marriages in our family. And vice versa — so many young couples who married early ended up divorcing.

There are no fixed rules in life except one: stay away from toxic people who try to tell you what and when to do 🙂
