Anyone else a fan of rainy weather and approaching storms?
Does anyone else enjoy watching the rain (as long as it's not flooding the house, of course :P) or watching a storm build up? Or is it just me?
I love watching the rain fall, especially listening to the sound of the drops hitting the leaves of trees and plants. I also really love the petrichor, that earthy scent right as the rain starts.
The formation of the rain clouds is also so exciting to watch. The sun hides behind them, and the denser the clouds get, the darker the environment becomes. Watching that heavy, blurry part of the clouds that actually holds the rain approaching just genuinely excites me.

I thrive on rainy days! Those are the days to stay in, reflect, chat, eat comfort foods, watch old movies, and read books. Or, if you feel adventuresome, go out and walk in it!

I also love this weather. There is something very comforting and cozy about the sound of rain, not so much a fan of being outside in it though I must admit!ð¤£

Summer always been my least favourite time of year. We got teased with 2 seconds of rain today, then back heatwavey.
I like falling asleep to it. I don't even mind being out in it, as long as it's not drenching me and making me look for rowboats or rescuing Popeyes
You're definitely not the only one! People who love rain and storms are often called 'pluviophiles.' There's something super calming yet exciting about watching the clouds roll in, hearing the pitter-patter on leaves, and smelling that fresh petrichor. As long as everyone stays safe, a good storm is the best cozy weather! 🌩️🌧️

I have ALWAYS loved the thunderstorms, as a child in England, growing up and living in Australia and now, living in rural U.S.A.
The sounds actually help me to go to sleep... funny thing, I find them very soothing.
