Have you tried asmr sound effects, deep breathing or writing down what's on your mind to clear your head?
I hope your normal sleep resumes soon.
I’ve tried all of those things, and the constant panic I feel still never goes away. I can’t relax.
@ConureConnor That's rough, I usually give myself comfort and reassurance. I'm safe, I'm going to be alright, this will eventually pass.
Then I try to find a distraction, reading, gaming, mindless tv shows, music or just my regular routine, even if I'm just going through the motions.
Self care helps.
Telling myself those things doesn’t help when I know they’re lies, though. I know things aren’t okay and that bad things are going to happen and I need to prepare for them, even if I deserve for them to happen. I can’t distract myself from that.
I just wish I wouldn’t have to be afraid of everything anymore.
@ConureConnor I'm really sorry you're going through this 🙁 that sounds really heavy.
Sometimes things like listening to guided sleep meditations and journalling my raw thoughts down helps with falling asleep.
Please be gentle with yourself 💖 You don't have to go through this alone, we're all here for you 💖 Sending you lots of love and *Big hugs* 🐾💕

Ive seen some of ur posts and i can reside a bit with u, have u tried somatics? It is extremely helpful for physical sensations, i think u might be in hypervigilence, which is a heightened fight/flight response or just flight or more. For that , im not sure if u work with a therapist or not i would recommend getting one u r comfy with. I dont blame u for not having random stuff work thats top down (cbt n stuff its helpful but usually what ive found is its helpful after u process the emotions) if u are panicking id suggest licking a lemon to interrupt the panic, use somethign cold and hold it ofc with protection like a napkin, or a small taste of salty stuff (be careful with salt!) what has helped me sorta is somatics, mindfulness and grounding. If the feeling is not iverwhleming, describe it, notice and feel it for a bit, then do what it needs (as long as its safe if its anger use a safer approach like for example throwing or punching a pillow) express ur emotions safely yknow? And then ground urself and self soothe. Another helpful thing ive learned is a somatic self hug, it helps with overwhlemn it maybe might help youll have to give it a go. For sleep, id suggest lookin into Dr. Mandells vids, he has alot of stuff that could improve more reaxation before sleep. You can try rocking on ur side for comfort and relaxation but do it gently. You can try rolling ur ankles gently, or u can try the rem sleep eye movement thjng , idk the name but i think he has it on his youtube if not i can send u the link or something, i cant sleep myself rn (personal issues -.-) but ill try something of this sorts.
Iguess the secret is to get to know your body and its reactions and triggers and befriending it. I hope u can find some ease and connection soon and some rest 💖🍀
For somatics i would recommend a somatic practitionor, altho i do know that they are expensive, but there are resources u can use to help if u are intrested, and theres also EMDR which usually does take insurance.
