Feeling a little sad i guess
I have a surgical procedure coming up. Its not major. Just an excision under local anesthesia. Its not worrying me..the doctor was kind.
The only thing that made me feel a little sad was when the doctor said bring one person with you for support.
And I realised I didnt have anyone.
I live with my parents. My mom just had a major surgery and she isnt mobile. My dad isnt much mobile either- he stays in his room.
The hospital will have wheelchair arrangements and I have a hired help who will drive me to and from the hospital- but just the fact that I dont have any person to accompany me during the actual process .... got me into a little bit of self pity.
Ive always been alone in spite of being friendly to people. Ive dined alone, been to theatre alone, been to a party alone - simply because people around me werent interested. And every single time I did these activities by myself , the sadness was there but I got over it.
I guess tomorrow i will look back and also be over what im feeling today. This is my life. I manage it and enjoy it somewhat and thats good enough.
@Creamyyy I'm sorry Creamy. I can actually relate to this. For me it's my fault though. I just wanted you to know that you're not alone with going through everything on your own 💜

@Creamyyy I'm so sorry you're feeling this way. I truly wish your surgery goes smoothly 🍀 You're not alone 🤍 You're awesome ❤️ Sending lots of love to you 💕
@fossilfellow Imagine I hearted this x50 if I could! ❤️
I can kind of relate , this may be vague but it's not like i don't have anyone at all but still i find myself alone in my endeavour many times and it has become a lifestyle. I don't reach or vibe with most people because they don't fall under the standards, craft and intellect i expect them to be , maybe it's us or the people around don't really suit and yet again just maybe our tribe is one of a rarity. With all that's been said . I can't imagine to feel what it must be like to go for a surgery all by yourself as i have never had one , yet i wish i could be there with you which i possibly can't and sending my regards fellow human and compassion and love of what I got in me . Yeah we'll be over it na. It's life and its colourful don't matter how we see or take it. It just happens to us and can't really blame it on anything. Whatever it means to you love , know someone or something out there will walk with you in all walks of life . Maybe everything we people send you in our wishes or something else. Gratitude!.
@Creamyyy 🙏🤗🫂💚💗 You've got to feel all the love bestowed upon you right now! Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. You're an incredibly, remarkable person. You got this. You can get through anything. God's got you, friend! Xoxo.

@Creamyyy
Hello 😊 If we were neighbours I could assist you to the hospital and back, while delivering some forbidden snacks in the meantime 😉 Unfortunately, it's been miles away...
I think your awareness is worth its weight in gold: you seem to balance being as much happy as possible here and now—even if alone—with the desire for the new quality to come one day in not so distant future.
What you said speaks to my experience: In the HR forms in my country there is a field "Whom should we notify in case of a work-related accident; name, phone number". For years I have juggled it between my mother, my father and my ex (who is still the mother of our kids). Now I just leave the space blank...
The imaginary situation where we are neighbours and you re offering to assist... is so sweet. Its the thought that counts. I'll remember this. That someone did choose to offer and I wasn't really without company had it not been for different locations.. 🙂
I feel you on the emergency contact situation. Its exactly the same kind of thing - you're right. Id offer to be your emergency contact too had we been in the same location 🙂
celebrating warmth on the virtual world, filling vacuums of real life 🥳👏

@Creamyyy
As for celebrating... If really "nature abhors a vacuum", maybe you could celebrate the time as "the last summer of loneliness", who knows 😊
I've been in different situations: either lonely and missing the warmth, being at home feeling and sensuality of a relationship, or taken and missing the clear mind and tranquility of the lonely time, or facing not so many irrational hurdles or tough choices.
One bad thing I can surely say about my relationships is they used to make me less reflective (the mind is clouded when hormones come to play) and fatter (as a result of bigger and more regular meals) 😆
Still, I hope your surgery goes safe, and everything ends great for you...
Creamyyyy .....

@Creamyyy It really touched me reading your post. I can feel how strong and independent you are, you’ve been carrying so much on your own and still finding ways to keep going, even in moments when it feels lonely. What you’re feeling right now is so valid; it makes sense to feel a little sad when you’re reminded of not having that “someone” to lean on in a moment like this.
