@Hermionetps Going to the library or using the library apps for video (Kanopy) or e-books and audiobooks (Borrowbox). I never fail to get something that pleases me. I'm in Australia so the apps might be different in other places, but I highly recommend it.

Thank you for the forum post! 😊 ❤️ This sure is nice to sit a spell, to consider what it is that we do, how it is that we do it, what it is that we "reach for" to bring us a bit of joy.

Some certain pieces of music

Sweet thoughts of people that I care about. People that do good things for the world, for their fellow humans. People that are truly gifted, gifted beyond belief and they choose to share their talents to make the world a better place. 

Thoughts of moments when I have seen little elderly people. Just tired, lived a long life, everything really slowed down for them and to almost see them "move in reverse". Just to see them order a piece of pie. To watch them and see how it is that they eat it slowly. How they really seem to enjoy it and being in that moment. You have to wonder what it all means to them. I wonder if they are thinking about the pie their mom made or their grandmother. They take their time. That little moment, that little piece of pie or cake seems to bring them so much happiness. 😊 "moving in reverse" as if they know more than we do, feeling like a little kid with that one slice of pie. Eyes clouded over with cataracts, but they look off into the distance and you wonder what it is that they are seeing right there in that moment. 

Hot bubble baths, fluffy pillows, warm blankets. 

Being silly, completely, ridiculously silly and then laughing at ones self for doing/being so. No audience needed, at all!!!!!!!! It's really like sitting in the bathtub and making shampoo horns just for the sake of doing so. 

Thoughts of past funny moments in life. 

Haa hahaah, funny moment in progress: I looked up at the window in my dining room and what do I see? A slow moving Praying Mantis checking me out 😁. He be like "girl, lookin' good, lookin' good". I think he just winked at me? 🤭 (whatever it is that we tell ourselves, I guess). 

I imagine him laughing at me saying " girl, I could watch you all day and nothin' you can do about it. I'm an endangered species". I laugh back, and I tell him  "enjoy the show" haha hahah ahahhahahaah 😊

Thank you again Hermoine for the fantastic forum post and causing me pause to consider the wonderful things that life has to offer😇.

I hear a bestie ringtone and I know it's time to put down what I'm doing and have chatty chat time. Time to gossip, rewind the day, plan out the day ahead, have a deep talk, rant a little, and just be silly. I look forward to those notifications every day!

Other things that bring me happiness are creating my very own traditions. Things that make me happy, things that I do at the same time of year, year after year. It gives me nice things to count on and to look forward to. 

The title and intentions of your wonderful forum post made me think of "These are a few of my favorite things", a song from the Sound of Music. (something I like to watch yearly also).

That movie certainly does bring me a great deal of joy. Just one of my things I guess.

Even today, I youtubed "The Lonely Goatherd" from the Sound of Music. I love revisiting that scene, seeing the wonderful intentions of Maria and might I say, singing along, hard to not smile or laugh at ones self while yodeling. 

I have my lap top here on the dining room table, back window open and yodeling my little self silly, because it makes me happy. Do I care if the neighbors hear me? Nope, not one bit. Hahaaa. 

Some days we create our own happiness. Reaching for it, wanting to find some joy comes from within. We can't expect others to make us happy as it's giving them a "job to do" and a job that others may fail at and miserably. 

Wondering if anyone would like to youtube it as well and take my "yodel challenge" today? 😊
