I don't remember the last time I got almost 8 hrs sleep. 7h 58m according to my tracker.

Today is my Half Friday, finish work at 12:30PM and WHOHOO 10 days of much needed vacation.
I hope I can reset my brain and start on a path to peace in my mind. 😀

I’m really glad to hear you’re feeling more rested today, and that you’ve been able to work through some of that anger. That kind of inner work takes a lot of strength, and finding even a little more peace is such a powerful step forward. You deserve that calm.

That’s really wonderful to hear. I’m so grateful you’re finding some rest and peace after everything you’ve been carrying. It takes courage to sit with anger and work through it, and I’m thankful you’re getting to a place where things feel a little lighter. You deserve every bit of that peace.

A bit on the anxious side.

Have my eye appointment this afternoon and the waiting is eating at me.

@Eman144

Turns out the growth on my left eye only needs cortical steroid drops for a week and regular drops on going. Then monitor every so often and hope I can keep it from getting any bigger.

So no surgery in the immediate future. 👍

I get that — the waiting can be the hardest part. It’s completely okay to feel anxious about it. You’re doing your best by showing up and taking care of your health, and that’s something to be proud of. I’ll be thinking of you this afternoon — I hope it goes smoothly and brings some relief or clarity. You’ve got this.

@Eman144 Tired, just woke up a short time ago, still largely traumatized from what happened with me some days ago, and currently studying. I fell asleep looking at a selection of books online last night too. 😂

@lovingCat6978

Sounds like you’ve had a lot going on lately, and now you're juggling all that with studying. I’m sorry to hear you’re still feeling the effects of what happened a few days ago—it can really take a toll. Is there anything specific on your mind about it, or are you just trying to push through?

Also, I totally get how easy it is to fall asleep looking at books online! It's like the mind's way of saying "We’re done for the day," haha. What kind of books were you checking out?

@Eman144 Yeah... it's been like this for most of my life anyhow, it's not so much worse as it used to be, and that I can definitely be grateful for. I find that studying can actually be therapeutic, especially if it's about a much more light-hearted topic.

As to answer one of your questions: It could've gotten any better, had I been more careful with how I swam before I suffered a non-fatal drowning. I think as much as I like to reflect on what happened during most recent times, I think my focus went towards recovering, the most I can do while trying to live the most 'normal' life I can. (Aka, several chronic disabilities and illnesses tend to weigh me down anyhow.) I wouldn't say pushing through per sei, I see it as me trying to make myself feel more comfortable about some events, after I do some of the inner work to, well... NOT be as traumatized as I already have been for several years. (Side note: I'm still thanking my partner heavily for saving me even still.)

I suppose whenever I do anything that doesn't cause as much of a stress to the brain (learning anything can actually induce that stress, it's the brain's way of learning new things and registering information as you go.) like browsing new books and doing my research on authors or illustrators I find to see any information I need to know before delving into a new book in general, I often set aside that time naturally. I think I spotted some books that were on a public library (a very lovely person actually recommended some books to me a day or two prior to now), so I'm still looking into those. However, I did spot a book called "A Mango-Shaped Space" by Wendy Mass. I've been figuring out more about it that's making me want to locate a copy sometime soon! 😊

Today I am not feeling my best and that is because I have a lung infection called Pleurisy. It’s very painful when I breathe. I am right. I am resting all weekend so I can recover quickly. Any good vibes my way would definitely help.

I’m really sorry to hear you’re dealing with pleurisy—it sounds incredibly painful, especially when you have to breathe deeply. Resting is definitely the right call, and I’m sending you all the good vibes I can for a smooth and speedy recovery. 💙

Is there anything I can do to help take your mind off the pain? Maybe some chill conversation or a distraction while you rest?

@MJ57490
I hear you—it can feel like you're stuck in a loop, especially when you're not feeling your best. Sometimes when things feel like a cycle, it’s hard to find the energy to break out of it. Are you able to do anything today that might help shake things up a bit, even if it’s just something small? Or maybe something to treat yourself while you’re resting?

I’m really sorry you’re feeling this way right now—it’s tough when the sadness just weighs on you like that. Sometimes it feels like nothing can lift it, and that heaviness can really take a toll. You don’t have to go through it alone, though. I’m here to listen, and if there’s anything specific on your mind, I’m all ears.

That’s good to hear. Even just holding onto a bit of hope and trying to move forward, even if it’s slow, is a big step. It’s not always easy, but every little effort counts. Is there anything that’s helping you stay hopeful, or things you're focusing on to keep pushing forward? Sometimes it’s the smallest shifts that can make a big difference.

@sadcalmboy

I'm really glad you created this account and reached out. It takes a lot of courage to face those emotions head-on, especially when it feels like they’re starting to take over. I get how easy it can be to fall into a cycle where sadness feels like the only emotion, and it can make everything feel heavy. The fact that you’re aware of it and want to change the pattern already shows you’re taking steps to protect your well-being.

Do you want to talk about what’s been making you feel this way, or maybe we can figure out something that might help break that pattern, even just a little? You don’t have to go through this on your own.
