It's completely valid to feel overwhelmed when past experiences resurface, especially when they’re now tied to emotions that weren’t fully processed before. It can be exhausting  like carrying old weight that suddenly feels heavier.

If you’re feeling both tired and angry, that’s a signal from your mind and body that something inside needs attention, rest, or release. You don't have to sort it all out at once. Just acknowledging that it's happening  like you just did  is already a step toward healing.

thanks we been doing that after the move 8yr ago a lot of new layers of memories coming up. think at first after move they did not due to parents were still inviting, but due to there health they no longer doing that so it been  closet to 2 year last time we saw them. so think that why all the memories  now coming up. we know some of them was help by some of the alters. even with working as a team now we found that can happen still. so think that a big part of it and that we no longer emotionally numb. the freedom of not being in daily abuse is now sinking in more too.

so a lot been  coming up just like other times  memories  have came up we know facing and working through them best thing to do even if it the hardest thing to do.

@stormieandpaws

Thank you for sharing all of that. It sounds like you're moving through a really deep and important phase  one that's painful but also full of healing and growth. When you said "the freedom of not being in daily abuse is now sinking in more", that really hit hard  because that kind of realization doesn’t come all at once. It comes in layers, just like the memories you're describing.

It makes sense that the distance from your parents, especially if they used to be a regular part of your life, is triggering a lot. That kind of shift opens space for things that were buried to rise up  and you’re absolutely right, that’s both incredibly difficult and incredibly necessary. You're facing this with courage, and I hear that even when it feels overwhelming, you're staying grounded in teamwork and in honoring the process.

You mentioned the alters  it’s really meaningful that you're all working as a team. Even when stuff slips through or resurfaces unexpectedly, that teamwork is powerful. You’re not doing it alone  not within yourself and not here either.

so we learned that a long time ago from a deer friend who also was abused badly and has worked through a lot of her healing she has DID too she went on to being a therapist  after she left her abuse she kinda been our mentor too

Thank you for listening. It’s true—working as a team makes all the difference, even though it takes time and effort. Healing really does come in layers. It’s great you have a mentor who’s walked a similar path and supports you. That kind of guidance is so valuable.

Thank you for being honest  that takes strength, even when everything feels like too much.

Feeling overwhelmed, confused, and lost in both spirit and soul can be incredibly painful. It’s like your inner compass is spinning, and nothing feels stable or clear. When old wounds resurface with fresh emotion, it can shake the foundation of who we think we are or where we’re going.

But please know: you’re not broken. You’re moving through something deep, and while it’s hard, it’s also a sign that something inside you is asking to be seen, held, and healed. You don’t have to have all the answers right now. It’s okay to take this moment by moment.

If you'd like, we can take a breath together  or I can help you sort through what you're feeling, one piece at a time. You're not alone in this.

That kind of anxiety  the kind that loops thoughts and won’t let you rest  can be so draining. When your mind keeps spinning around what’s hurting or confusing you, it can feel like there’s no way out.

It’s okay that you’re stuck in your head right now. Your mind is trying to make sense of pain, but it’s doing it in overdrive, and that’s not your fault.

Here’s a gentle reminder: you don’t have to fix everything in your thoughts. Sometimes the most helpful thing is shifting out of the mind and into the body  even if just for a moment. A few deep, slow breaths. Placing your hand on your chest. Not to solve it all, just to remind yourself you’re here, right now, and safe in this moment.

@Eman144 it is so warm here today, I was dizzy, bad migraine pains behind my eye, very faint and nauseous, the sun doesn't love me 😁 Trying to just chill, when I'm feeling unwell, it triggers anxiety and sometimes strong emotions, so I need to recognise that and keep them in check 🥰💜

@Amanda84

That sounds like such a rough day  heat like that can really take a toll, especially when it brings migraines, dizziness, and nausea on top of everything else. No wonder you're feeling off and emotionally raw. When your body’s under that kind of stress, it's totally natural for anxiety and deep feelings to get stirred up too.

It’s really powerful that you’re aware of the connection between feeling physically unwell and your emotional state  that kind of self-awareness is a big deal. And you're right: recognizing it is the first step to not letting it run wild. You're doing more than just "trying to chill"  you’re consciously choosing to be gentle with yourself, and that matters.

Let the day be soft if you can. Cool cloth on your head, slow sips of water, dark room if the migraine calls for it little comforts. You don’t have to be in control of everything today, just safe in your own care. 💜🥰

I’m here if you want to talk more or just need a calm space to land.

Anxious and confused, i feel like on one hand I managed to accomplish somethings and took a step forward but after having another panic attack it feels like my self worth has taken another spiral again

@Lonewolf360

That push-and-pull feeling  like you've taken a step forward only to get pulled back  is so hard, and it’s incredibly common when you're healing or dealing with anxiety. What you’re feeling doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It means you’re human, in a moment of struggle, doing your best.

The panic attack doesn't erase the progress you made. It’s just a moment  a painful one, yes but not a reset button on your worth. You did accomplish something. You did move forward. And the fact that you're reflecting on it and reaching out now? That’s strength, too.

Healing isn't linear. Some days you climb. Some days you crawl. Some days you just breathe  and that alone is enough.

I'm really sorry you're feeling this way tonight  beaten down, heavy-hearted… those words carry so much weight. Whatever you’re carrying, it sounds like it’s been building for a while, and tonight it’s just too much.

Please know: it's okay to feel this low. You're allowed to feel tired. You’re allowed to not be okay. You don’t have to be strong every second  not when your heart is hurting like this.

If you want to share what’s sitting on your heart, I’m here to listen without judgment. And if you just need silence and presence, I’m here for that too. You don’t have to face the night alone. 💜

That sounds like a deeply honest place to be  tired, sad, and just wanting some peace and quiet. Sometimes, the world and all its noise feel like too much when your heart is worn thin.

So here’s a gentle moment, just for you:
No expectations.
No pressure to explain or fix anything.
Just breathe.
Let it be quiet here for a while. 🌙

You deserve rest. You deserve peace. And I’m holding this space for you, with softness and calm. Whenever you’re ready  whether to speak or just be  I’m here. 💜

Trepidacious. I hope I'm using the word correct. I have had a really good day, gotten great news about a potential job, had a lovely breakfast at a new little soda we have never tried. Almost all of our groceries were on sale today. Had shepherds pie for the first time in probably half a year. Spent a nice relaxed day and evening with my wife. But yesterday was awful. I had made plans to end everything, was getting a life insurance quote, our dog ate all of our baby chickens. It is always so up and down. A crazy rollercoaster. I'm scared what comes next after feeling so good.

@WanderingShiner

You used trepidatious perfectly  it captures that cautious, uneasy hopefulness when things feel too good after a storm. And given what you’ve just come through… that feeling makes complete sense.

First, I want to say this clearly: I’m really, really glad you’re still here.

You’ve had an incredibly emotional stretch  going from a dark, heartbreaking day where things felt hopeless, to a day full of warmth, connection, small joys, and hope. That kind of swing is disorienting. It’s no wonder you feel trepidatious. When life has taught you that the ground can shift suddenly, even the good moments feel fragile.

But here’s something important: the good moments still count. They’re real. And they don’t have to mean something bad is coming. They’re not tricks or setups. They’re just… life opening a little, even for a moment.

You’re riding a wave that a lot of people who struggle with deep emotions know too well the high highs and low lows. But you're aware of it. You’re talking about it. That’s a huge step in protecting yourself, and in staying here, even when it’s hard.

You don’t have to face it all alone. If things ever start to feel dark again, please talk to someone a friend, a therapist, a crisis line  or even come here. You matter more than you know, and the way you’re able to notice beauty and pain so honestly is a powerful thing. You’re not broken. You’re human.

And right now, today, something good happened. That deserves to be felt, even if it's with a little caution.

I'm here with you  in the good, in the hard, in the in-between. Always. 💜

@Eman144 thanks alot. It means a lot. It has been an incredibly rough go. And to add on to the fact that when i try to verbalize it to my wife it comes out in 4 or 5 different ways, which definitely doesn't make it easy for her to understand. I'm trying. Hard. I appreciate this method. 7 cups. And all of the little moments when I can find a way like this to try to get it out. Thanks for those words. They were kinda what I needed to hear.
