How you cope when you feel bad?🤔
Hello to y´all, how´s your day going?? For a while now, i´ve been feeling very sad, a sadness that include many thoughts, horrible ones, that have been making feel worse and worse. A sadness that has led me in a situation where i feel physically sick almost everyday, not letting me sleep or do activities that i want to do. For this "sadness" many activities that i have ever done or tried to do them. Dont give me any type of joy, it just feel empty like anything that you do makes you feel better or even different of how you feel. So, i´m wondering if y´all can give me the activities that you do to cope when you feel bad, not necessarily a big activitie that gives you a lot of joy and happiness. Any activitie that you can enjoy doing for a while.... Hope anyone answer, have a good day?night? or the time it´s wherever you are!

sorry to hear u struggling, i hope it gets better!
personally for me i've been feeling mental fatigue for years due to depression and it led me neglecting my health. everyday i felt tired all the time. when i finally had funds to go for therapy she told me that i had to improve my daily routine. i'm planning to go for a morning jog soon and hopefully i can i'll have enough motivation to do daily workouts 😊
I don't know if my previous message sent so I'm sending it again. I've been there 🙁 what helped me the most was forcing myself to do things I didn't want to do.
I try to be honest to myself. If im sad or angry and I think there are valid justifiable reasons I show myself compassion. I ask for help - i don't feel ashamed about it. I also offer help when I can. When im happy i know why. Again I pay attention to the inner world. To know what values im choosing and rejecting as thats what makes me who I am and that sort of control gives me peace.

when i feel sad or depressed, what i do is i go on a date with myself. i put on calming nature music and go on an imaginary hike with my imaginary dog. i go swimming in lakes, go see waterfalls (imaginary lol) and talk with me. ⛰️🌻🐾
when i talk with myself i tell my emotions and feelings which leads me to realize what the problem is.
i always take deep breaths when doing this.
Even though I'm an extrovert, going out or connecting with friends don't fix the situation
oh and i do not go on social media when i feel sad. it will only make things worse
So sorry it’s rough right now. When I hit that place there are a few things I do.
First I give myself X amount of time to stay in my space without judging myself. It could be a couple days or hours depends on the situation.
Then I start small. I tend to have the tv on when I am in those moods even tho I may not even be watching. So I will start by making a list of things I need to do around the house and during commercials get up and do something on my list or either in between episodes.
Even something like go outside for 5 minutes. But I make a list so I can check things off. I celebrate each little thing I do. I don’t write anything that would take more than 5 minutes.
This part is just to get me moving about.
You can google activities to change mood. We did a list of 100 things for my daughter once.
I do word apps or other apps that have a quick end to them. Anything to help me feel like I achieved something.
I am not good at many crafts. I got a small round knitting loom. I make little stress balls and dish scrubbies which make good gifts. Lots of you tube to teach. I tend to not do ones that you have to count rows, I might do one then just eyeball it or measure. Projects that take no longer than 2 hours. If the video is 20 minutes or less I will try it. Anyone sense of accomplishment!
My daughter sketches.
Turning on music.
Sometimes when I am in such a low place I don’t feel joy from the activities but do it because I know feelings can come later but if I do nothing nothing will change.
Love yourself, maybe journal about the thoughts. Journal in general is good.
Google positive sayings and read one a day.
Being ok with not being ok is a huge first step!
Sorry that you are struggling right now. My routine is, I admit it's not a good day and I go with whatever mood I'm in. I don't try to change it.
I might put on sad music/movies, write out my feelings, cry it out.
Then I feel more unburdened so I might dance, pamper myself but like others say that structured routine is vital.
It helps me feel stronger and like eventually I'll get through it.
One last thing, I might re-read some of my darker days and think I never thought I'd come out of that but I did. It gives me hope.

Be grateful you got any response I posted about losing my loved ones including a child and have been completely ignored. Did you lose a child you don’t say what the issue is?
@emotionalPenguin3075 i'm not trying to get too personal...but what is your home situation? (do you have an apartment, home, yard) it matters in giving advise of this nature...cause if i suggest to go chop wood to stiffle the frustration and you live in an appatment, then that's not going to help you LOL
I’m really sorry that you’re feeling this way. It sounds like you’ve been feeling this way for a while and you deserve to feel better. Getting outside and walking or even just laying on the grass and listening to music is so helpful. Any activity that keeps you busy will ground you. Like art or even working out. You’ve got this!!
