even with my parents I have to be someone that I’m not and agree with some of the things I disagree with bc I’m not in the mood for some long explanation of why their point is right. my friends will always support my opinions no matter what and they give much better constructive criticism than my parents. my friends are my family. when I’m around them I feel warm and free and like I can make any joke I want without being taken literally
